(Zoeys prom dress, you can imagine a different one or a different color if you want but just know that I'll be describing this dress throughout the book💕)

Zoey looked at Merida as she shook her head

"Zoey, prom already started, let's go" Merida said while holding up the dress "it's fine, I have no date so I'm not disappointing anyone" Zoey said and Merida sighed "Zoey I don't understand why you don't want to go to prom, if you miss this opportunity you'd never be able to go back, please just put the dress on" she said

Zoey looked at the floor and sighed

"Fine" she said and Merida sighed in relief with a smile now rising on the woman's face "thank you" she said while handing the girl the dress

Zoey walked into her bathroom putting on her dress, she didn't want to admit it, but she loved how she looked in it, she was excited but nervous for today

She walked out of the bathroom to see Merida sitting on her bed "you look amazing" Merida said and the girl smiled "thank you" she said and sat down next to her "I just don't know what to do with my hair, or my makeup.." she said and Merida smiled at the girl

"Merida, we're an hour late, and I still don't have on any makeup" Zoey whined as Merida flat ironed the girls hair

"You don't need makeup, but...you should do it while I'll do your hair, I'll be done by then" she said and Zoey nodded

Zoey didn't know how to do the foundation or any of that, she she skipped all of that, she did a natural eye look with a silver shimmer, and mascara, she added light blush and lip gloss

Her hair was perfectly straight, she'd never seen herself like that, she was utterly shocked

"Merida...thank you" she said and Merida smiled at the girl while hugging her "we have to go, so put on your heels" Merida said and Zoey froze "I forgot about that part..." Zoey said "be prepared, your feet are going to kill you" she said Zoey sighed "not if I bring my regular shoes with me" Zoey said and smirked "and you're just going to carry your shoes around?" Merida laughed

Zoey sat on her bed putting in her white heels "Yea" Zoey said "absolutely not" Merida said "why?" Zoey asked "that'll ruin everything. You look took beautiful to be carrying around dirty vans" she said and Zoey gasped sarcastically

Zoey stood up in the heels and instantly fell back onto her bed making Merida laugh

Merida walked over to the girl and held her hand and pulled her up "you know how to walk in heels? Right?" Merida asked "Yea, I just wasn't ready for that" she said and Merida raised her eyebrow "kind of.." Zoey said and Merida laughed

Merida walked backwards as she helped Zoey walk

"I'm gonna let go of your hands.." Merida prepared the girl and she nodded "I got this" Zoey said and Merida nodded letting go of her hands

Zoey grabbed the bottom of her dress and pulled it up as she walked around her room, she spun lightly making her kind of loose her balance and she giggled "I'm...ready" Zoey said while pushing her hair behind her ear "you sure?" Merida asked "as ready as I'll ever be" Zoey said and nodded Merida nodded as she opened Zoeys room door and held out her hand

"Prom queen first" she said and Zoey smiled "I'm definitely not a prom queen" she said and Merida smirked at the girl "you sure?" She asked "positive" she said

Zoey walked inside of Clay and Justin's little home

She turned on the lights and sighed
