Y/N's POV

I'm snoring loudly on my bed and honestly, I couldn't give two shits about waking my bunk mate. I begin to turn towards the edge of my bed, then, out of nowhere may I add. Loud, metal clashing against walls, wakes me up with a sudden jolt, causing me to end up face-first on the floor.

"Rise an' shine, lads and ladies!" A familiar voice booms from outside. I grudgingly lift myself from the cold floor when I feel feet on my back pinning me down. I look up to see Noah peering down at me. Noah is one of my mates, we've known each other since back in the day and even became Marines together.

"That's what you get for snoring, seriously man you sounded like Godzilla had a baby with an air horn." He laughs and I glare at him.

"Oh, my bad." He says as he steps off of me, I finally get up after what felt like a life time on the floor, and get dressed in our tank top and cargo pants.

"Come on people, we haven't got all day quit doin' your makeup and get out here!" Sarge screams as I rush out of the room with Noah in tow.

Sarge is in the distance hitting his knife against his shoulder pad. I rush over and form a line with my comrades, we stand at attention straight away and await further instructions.

"Alright Marines, get your armour on and have your breakfast, we leave at 2 o'clock, got it?" Sarge orders with his hands on his hips.

"Sir, yes, sir!" We all scream arms by our sides and our heads held high out of respect.

"At ease." He says and we all relax from our stiff stances.

I walk to my locker in the barracks and start putting on my armour, once I strap on my helmet I'm approached by Noah.

"I have to say your looking pretty spiffy in your armour today, Godzilla." He says looking at me from different angles.

"I've just woke up, Noah. Show some mercy and get on with it quickly." I say rubbing my temples, trying to get rid of my newly acquired headache.

Noah laughs at my action.

"I was just coming to tell you we should quickly go to the cafeteria, I'm kinda hungry and we leave in an hour, plus we still need to meet with David and Iana."

"Well then, let's hurry on," I say starting to the Cafeteria.

We walked to the cafeteria and grabbed one of the trays, there was quite a lot to choose from today, that's good but I can't stay here too long. We sat down at an empty table when Noah points out Iana and waves.

"Hey, Iana! Over here, cmon." Noah shouts, standing up so she can see him.

I do a scan of the Cafeteria.

"Wait, where's David?" I ask as Iana reaches us and sits down next to me.

"He said he had something to do, and he will meet up with us." She replies.

I activate my comm.

"Hey David what was that thing you had to deal with? And where the hell are you, remember we've only got an hour before we're being deployed on a mission." I say to David over the Comm.

"Yeah, no need to get angry at me as well, Godzilla...I just got a mouthful from the sarge so I'm avoiding the Cafeteria to not get more spit on my face." David responds sounding a bit down hearted.

"What did you do to deserve getting spat on in the morning?" I ask, imagining David's face dripping with spit, I shudder at the thought.

"I shot a friendly and almost killed him," David replies stifling a laugh.
