Ria

Saturday came by really quickly and I got ready way before nine. I was too excited to get my license, although I probably won’t be driving until I manage to get a car of my own. Rohan was never late. He was standing in the complex beside his posh, aqua Audi A5 at exactly nine. I went down and got into the passenger seat.

We got to the vehicle testing site in a couple of minutes and Rohan had already arranged an appointment for me so I went in to take the exam.

“Hey, Ria!” Rohan called from behind; I turned. “Good luck!” He gave me the thumbs up.

“Thanks.” I smiled back and walked into take the exam.

Rohan

It’s been almost two hours since Ria left for her driver’s license exam and still hasn’t returned. I was starting to worry, what could have happened. Wrong thoughts kept coming up in my mind but I tried keeping them away as much as possible. I was about to call her when I finally saw her coming out of the building. She didn’t look happy. Did she not get her license?

“Hey, it’s ok. We’ll try next time.” I comforted her by putting my hand on her shoulder.

“Why try again when I already got my license?” she said with a cheeky smile growing on her face.

“Oh my god! What! You got it? But what about that frown you had?” I was confused; did she just play a prank on me?

“Gotcha! I’m a good actor aren’t I? She asked sarcastically. I didn’t answer that, instead just smiled and said, “Let’s go. I’m going to show you around London today.”

Our first stop was the capsule. I’ve always loved its modern architecture, that curved capsule shape is very unique.

“Do you want to take pictures so you could post them on instagram?” I asked as we got out of the car.

She smiled at me; I guess she still does remember that time in Paris. “Of course I want to.” She handed me her phone and went to pose by the building. Those crazy poses of hers were so charming and enchanting. It felt like she was casting a spell on me. A spell that I can’t define. I could hear the DDLJ tune playing in the background, I wonder if she can hear it too.

“Hey! How many have you taken?” she yelled at me and I broke out of my thoughts. I was so into her that I didn’t realise that my thumb was on the capture button the whole time.

“How many did you take?” She asked rhetorically while going through her camera roll now filled with photos of her and the capsule. “I’ll be deleting most of them later otherwise my memory will be full. So where’s the next stop, Mr. Tour guide?”

“Hmm that’s a surprise. In fact all places that we will be going to today will be a surprise!” I answered.

We got back into the car and headed to our next destination, the Big Ben. I know the Big Ben is just an old clock but there is history behind it and as far as I know Ria, she’s into all this History and stuff. So just to make her happy I thought I might as well take her there.

We got there just in time for the next tour to leave – thank god we didn’t miss this one like the one in Paris. Inside the Big Ben the mechanisms were hard at work. The tour would go on but Ria would stop by at any chance she got to take photos. We even took a couple of selfies.

“Where are we headed now captain?” Ria asked as we got into the car after the Big Ben tour.

“Told you everywhere I take you today is going to be a surprise.” I started the car and begin to drive off to our next destination.
