"I guess we'll be driving there then." Liam shrugged. Liam and Audrey were in bed. It was the end of another long day. Amara was already in her room, most likely fast asleep.
"Amara really has been through a lot. I find it adorable that Niklaus is the only person keeping her going." Audrey said.
"Why do you think she calls him Niklaus? Every time I searched him up online, his name comes up as Klaus Mikaelson. That's it." Liam said.
"I don't know. Maybe it's a nickname." Audrey shrugged.
"Bless her." Liam said. "What I can't stop thinking about is, how are the Mikaelsons still alive after all this time?"
"Yeah, they seem like normal people." Audrey said.
"Do you think Esther really did put a spell on them to keep them alive?" Liam asked, stratching the back of his neck.
Liam had suggested that possibility to Amara a couple days ago when they said the Mikaelsons could still be alive but he didn't actually think at the time that it was possible. Now he didn't know what to think.
"Honestly, I have no idea." Audrey shrugged. "There's no way they're werewolves. They would've aged and died. Same for if they were witches."
Coming to the only supernatural creature that was left, Audrey and Liam looked at each other with wide eyes.
"Vampires!" They both said out loud.
"They're vampires. Oh my god." Liam said. Honestly, he was shocked he didn't realise sooner.
"Wait, we can't just jump to conclusions. We need to confirm this." Audrey said, grabbing her phone.
"Who are you calling?" Liam said as she dialled a number. The phone rang for a while before someone answered.
"Hey Audrey, what's up?" A female voice asked.
"Hey Bonnie, how's it going?" Audrey asked.
"Eh, you know, same old drama here in Mystic Falls. Guess what though?"
"What?"
"The lastest gossip. Elena is in love with both Damon and Stefan."
"No way!!" Audrey gasped. Liam just sat there, rolling his eyes. He wasn't much into girl talk and teen drama. He didn't know why his wife still engaged with it.
"Yeah and they're both in love with her. I've been trying to convince Elena to stay with Stefan because he's the obvious choice."
"I don't know. I think Elena and Damon would be interesting."
"You're kidding, right?" Bonnie laughed.
"No." Audrey said. "I think they'd be cute." Liam tapped Audrey's shoulder and gestured for her to hurry up. "Oh Bonnie, the reason I called was to ask you something. What do you know about Klaus Mikaelson?"
"Umm...why would you want to know about him?" Bonnie asked, her tone now a lot slower and deeper.
"Just curious." Audrey said.
"Audrey, I really suggest you don't mix yourself up with him. Him and his family are very dangerous."
"Bonnie, I just want to know a bit about them. Pleaseeeeee." Audrey asked.
"Okay." Bonnie sighed. "The Mikaelsons are the original vampire family. That means they were the first vampires to walk on earth which also means they are extremely powerful and dangerous. And as for Klaus Mikaelson...he's an extremely dangerous psychotic hybrid who cannot be killed."
"What does that mean?" Audrey asked, fascinated with what she was being told.
"Before he was turned into a vampire, he had a werewolf gene. Nobody at the time knew this, not even Klaus himself. When the family were turned by their parents, Klaus killed someone whilst feeding. That activated his werewolf gene and when his mother found out, she put a spell on him to keep his werewolf side dormant. However, he managed to break it so he's now part werewolf and part vampire. It makes him literally the most dangerous and powerful man in the world."
"Wow." Liam said under his breath.
"Wait, so if Klaus has this gene, doesn't the rest of his siblings?" Audrey asked.
"No, you see Klaus had a different father from his other siblings. He got the gene from his father who was a werewolf." Bonnie explained.
"Oh okay. Well thank you so much Bonnie."
"No problem, I'll talk to you later."
"Bye." Audrey said before hanging up. Both Liam and Audrey just sat there. That was a lot of information to process.
"Do you think Amara knows all this?" Liam asked.
"I really don't think she does." Audrey said.
"What do we do? Do we still take her to see him?" Liam asked. "You heard what Bonnie said. He's an extremely dangerous hybrid."
"But he loves Amara. And Amara loves him." Audrey said. Audrey loved love. She also saw how excited Amara was to see Klaus. She didn't want to stand in the way of the two being together and being happy.
"Is this really worth getting killed over?" Liam asked. "I really don't know about this."
"He won't kill us. We're the ones reuniting the two." Audrey said.
Liam was gravely concerned. He really did not want to be killed. He had so much to live for. He had a daughter for crying out loud.
"Do you think we should tell Amara?" Audrey said. "She should know what she's walking into."
"Yeah, we'll tell her tomorrow." Liam said.

Amara stared into his gorgeous blue eyes, almost getting lost in them. She stroked his long locks of blond hair, still lost in his eyes.
"Have I told you you are the most beautiful woman to walk on this planet?" Klaus asked, making Amara blush like crazy. Just the little things he said and did made her fall so madly for him. "I can't believe you are mine."
Amara leaned in and kissed him, feeling the electricity between their bodies. She moved her hands onto his cheeks, holding his face as she lay down with her lover on top of her. Klaus moved his hand down to her waist as he kissed Amara deeper. Amara could feel her heart racing out of her chest but in a good way. Klaus' lips left hers and made their way down to her neck and collar bone, each kiss sparking with electricity.
Klaus pulled away and looked at Amara. She was truly breath-taking. He couldn't understand how anybody could look so beautiful. She was so innocent, so pure, so full of life. He placed a piece of her hair behind her ear and whispered, "You're mine, Love."
Amara felt butterflies in her stomach. Every time he called her Love, she felt herself melting.
Amara opened her eyes, smiling at the dream she had just had. In fact, it wasn't even a dream. It was a beautiful memory. A memory of herself and her beloved Niklaus. She missed his touch, his voice, everything.
