The One With The Inappropriate Activities.
Kayla ran through the halls of Hogwarts, her dirty blonde hair flying out behind her. She readjusted her bag on her shoulder as the fact that she was 15 minutes late to Transfiguration began to settle in.
"Kayla, slow down," Miles chuckled from behind her. He was merely jogging but kept up with his girlfriend just fine; he was much taller then she was.
"No Miles. We're late," Kayla groaned, taking a sharp left and seeing her destination at the end of the corridor.
"Exactly," Miles sighed. "We're late so there's no point even going. We should just head back to the broom cupboard and finish what we started-"
Miles sentence was cut off as Kayla threw open the classroom door. Everybody's eyes fell on her and she suddenly feared they heard the end of her conversation with Miles.
"Miss Malfoy," Professor McGonagall said, tilting her head to one side. This action made Kayla glance to the back of the room, where a lady in pink clothing was sitting with a check board pressed against her chest. "Your explanation?"
"Sorry Professor," Kayla squeaked. "I got held up in the library and- em- lost track of time."
McGonagall bit the inside of her cheek and Kayla presumed she was debating whether or not to punish Kayla further. "Take a seat. Don't let it happen again."
Kayla nodded and moved towards her seat, keeping her eyes firmly on the ground.
"Afternoon Professor," came the voice of Miles from the door. Kayla didn't lift her eyes to look at the smug grin on his face.
"Take a seat, Mr Bletchley."
Miles slid into the seat in front of Kayla, for the one next to her was occupied by Jade, who winked at the couple.
"Professor, if I may," said Dolores Umbridge, stranding from her seat and moving towards the front of the room. "I find this behaviour despicable and a detention of some sort must be issued."
Kayla watched as McGonagall sighed and tapped the wood of her desk trice with her index finger. "I do not see that necessary, Dolores."
"Professor Umbridge," the women corrected with a sickly sweet smile. "And May I ask why not? You have two students who are late for class because they were participating in inappropriate activities-"
A few sniggers were heard and Kayla felt herself go bright red. She didn't dare look up from her hands in her lap, knowing she'd get a good few disapproving looks, especially from the Gryffindors.
"They are my students, Professor," McGonagall pressed. "I believe they are my responsibility, and I decide whether or not they're punished."
Umbridge humphed and wrote something on her clipboard, holding the quill tightly with her chubby fingers.
"Why didn't you guys just skip?" Jade whispered. "I would've gone with you. This Umbitch is doing my head in."
Miles had leaned back in his chair to join in the conversation. "Gone with us? But what if we were participating in inappropriate activities, Jade?"
