Star and Jackie were walking down the street one afternoon, a skip in Star's step. They were talking about Star's upcoming 18th birthday party when Star peaked a glance through the window of a coffee shop. Her mood brightened up in an instant.

"Jackie! He's here today! The cute coffee guy I told you about." She tugged Jackie to also take a look through the window.

"Wow, you are right Star, he's fine." Although lesbian, even Jackie could say he was good looking. "So what's his name?"

"Marco," she said dreamily. She never took her eyes away.

Jackie grabbed Star's hand, immediately startling her. "What are you doing...?"

"We're getting his number for you."

"What! No Jackie we can't-" She tried to pull her arm back but it was too late. They were already inside. Star quickly composed her posture, acting as casual as possible. She warned Jackie to not doing anything stupid then walked up to the counter, heart beating at a fast rate. Jackie rolled her eyes, following her.

Once the person in front of her was done, it was Star's turn to order.

"Hi welcome to Starbucks, what can I get for you today?" he said, giving her a smile.

Ignoring her beating heart she replied. "Uh, hi can I get a grande caramel frappe for me (I LOVE CARAMEL FRAPPES), a grande mango dragon fruit refresher for her and-"

"Shewantsyournumber."

"Jackie!" she scolded her friend, feeling embarrassed. She turned back to Marco, brushing her off. "I'm so sorry about her, she's not feeling well heh heh..."

Marco chuckled, lightly blushing. "You're good." He wrote down their order. "Will that be all ladies?"

"Yep. Nothing else."

After paying for their orders, they sat down at a window table.

"Jackie I swear I'm gonna strangle you if you try something like that again." Star rubbed the side of her eye. She still couldn't believe Jackie pulled that stunt.

She shrugged. "Hey, it could've worked. Plus, you would finally have a date for your birthday."

"Oh yeah about that..." They continued their conversation from before. A few minutes past and Marco brought their drinks to them.

He set their drinks down. "Here you go ladies. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day," he said, mainly to Star. They made small eye contact before he walked off.

"Thank you," Jackie said. Star was off in a dream world. Jackie snapped at her face. "Star let's go."

----
They left Starbucks and started walking home, a drink in each hand. They were about to cross the street when a slip of paper fell off the bottom of Star's frappe. Jackie, noticing it, picked it up and looked at it while walking down the street. She gasped, catching Star's attention.

"What. What happened?"

Jackie smirked, showing Star the paper. "I guess you won't be strangling me after all."

Star took a better look at the paper in Jackie's hand. She finally caught on to what it was.

"No way no way NO WAY." She snatched the paper. "His number?!"

"AHHH!" The girl's celebrated, forgetting that they were still in the middle of the crosswalk and that the traffic light had turned green.

BEEP BEEP. "Hey get out the road already!"

The girls rushed off, giggling at their luck and predicament.

----

When Star got home after separating paths with Jackie, she ran upstairs to her bedroom and locked the door. She set her unfinished drink and bag on her desk and collapsed on her bed, phone and paper in hand.
