Chapter 9 - The Date

Emily's P.O.V

I was going to dinner with Connor tonight. I was so excited but a bit nervous too. I knew we were going to dinner but I didn't know where. I spent my day editing and uploading the cover of 'break free' the boys and I did. I also managed to edit my music video for my cover of 'just give me a reason'.

I had a snack lunch of veg, pita bread and hummus. I didn't want to be full for dinner. Connor sent me a text informing me to be ready at 6pm. It was now 4, I spent the afternoon chilling and watching tv!

I decided I should get ready so I put on a mint skater/circle dress, black tights/stockings and a black cardigan. I decided on silver and gold necklace, earrings and rings. I did fairly natural makeup but with a gold/brown eye. I slipped on my heels and looked at the clock. It was 5:00pm. I decided to straighten my hair and have it in a side parting. When I was done I packed my clutch. I put in my lipgloss, mascara and concealer. Also my money and phone. It was now 5:45pm so I walked out of my flat and to the main entrance of the complex.

Connor arrived just as I got there so it was perfect timing. He was wearing his usual black jeans, a nice shirt, and a blazer. He looked very handsome. His hair was in its normal hair style but a bit neater.

Connors P.O.V

Wow, I entered the building to see Emily just coming out of the lift. "You look stunning," I said and hugged her. "Well, I could say the same for you, very handsome!" She laughed. I walked her to the car, opening the door for her. She smiled and slid in. I walked round and got in my side. "So where are we going?" She asked. "There's a really nice Italian place about 10 minutes away," I replied with a smile. "I guess you listened when I said I love pasta and pizza!" She said with a smile. That smile, her smile. I turned the radio on and we just sang the whole way there.

We pulled up and parked outside. I led Emily in and we sat at a small booth. "Hi I'm Oscar, I'll be your waiter, if you need anything, just ask," A tall man said and winked at Emily. She just looked away and read the menu. I did the same and he walked off. I didn't like him. He can see we're on a date and he's already flirting with Emily.

After a few minutes he came back and we ordered our drinks. I ordered Pepsi and Em ordered lemonade. We were just chatting, laughing and having the best time. It was going great until Oscar came up and asked what we wanted to eat. He just kept staring and Em and ignoring me.

"Just the ham and pineapple pizza please," Emily said and handed him her menu and he handed her a napkin with something wrote on it. She read it whilst I ordered pasta. "Sorry, I don't get peoples numbers on napkins, and I don't get peoples numbers who don't have the decency to realise I'm on a date." She said and I smirked at him. "Run along now," she added handing him the napkin back.

He walked away and we both laughed. "I didn't know you had that in you!" I said as I recovered from laughing. "Me neither!" She replied. Our food got brought over by Oscar and Em said "look, sorry, it's just I'm on a date and it was getting awkward with you flirting with me, no hard feelings," she said and smiled and he just nodded and walked away. "Well then," I said and we started eating.

The night flew by and we left at around 8pm ish. As we got outside we decided to walk to the park down the road. We strolled hand in hand and sat down on a bench in the park. Here goes...

"Emily, I know I've know you for just over a week but I really like you and I was wondering, would you like to be my girlfriend?" I said "aw, I'd love to!" She replied and stood up to hug me. After the hug she leaned in, I put my hands in her waist and hers snaked around my neck, we both leaned in a and shared a sweet, loving kiss.
