Chapter 15

I walked out of lesson and I was in the middle of the playground when Dimmie and Jose approached me.

"Look we want to say sorry." Jose looked sad.

"Yeah even though we didn't do anything, we were still there with Aaron and we should have stopped him!" Dimmie looked down.

"Guys don't blame yourselves I'm fine, he's just a jerk that I don't even want to think about!" I smiled and they both smiled back looking surprised.

"Phew!" Dimmie wiped off imaginary sweat off his forehead. "I thought you were going to go all into tears and blame us!"

Jose stared at Dimmie then turned his head to me.

"But we're still sorry and I know he's our friend but that was a total jerk move even for him and we should have done something!" Jose smiled again showing his wonky teeth.

"Is everything ok here?" I heard Sam ask coming from behind me.

"Yeah Jo and Dimmie were just apologising to me which I accepted even though it wasn't any of their faults!" I winked at them both.

"Ok cool, remember you still need to finish my Bulgarian/Russian teaching because I need it!" Sam pointed at me and Dimmie.

"Why?" Me and Dimmie asked in unison.

"I need it for when I dump Ben! He's been getting on my nerves recently!" She rolled her eyes.

We all quietly snickered but were stopped by punching sounds and many people running towards the back of the playground where all the bushes were.

We all raised our heads and Jose asked. "What is that?"

"I dunno!"

"Better go find out!" Sam ran towards the back with some other people in our year and we shortly followed.

We ran up to the back and a crowd of people, we stopped by some of Sam's friend and she asked them what was going on.

"2 boys in our year are fighting but we can't see who it was." A tall ginger girl spoke to Amy.

"I'm going to go see who it is, you can go if you want I'll find Jake after." I said to Jo and Dimmie before turning around and pushed through everyone to get to the front.

My eyes watered when I saw who it was, it was Jake and Aaron.

"If you do another bad thing to her I swear I will break your fucking neck!" Jake shouted at Aaron while grabbing hold of his neck.

I suddenly realised who they were talking about, me. As much as I didn't want to get involved I was already, I needed to do something.

"Answer!" Jake yelled at Aaron but he couldn't answer, Jake was chocking him.

I took a step forward but then stopped, I couldn't... But I had to. I sprinted and stood in front of Jake.

"Jake stop!" I half whispered half shouted. "Please."

Jake's face dropped when he saw me, he looked sad but so did I.. On second thoughts I wasn't sad I was about to cry. A tear flew down my face and everyone around was silent.

Jake let go of Aaron and I could hear him gasping for breath still.

"Aww so cute! Listening to your girlfriend are you?" Aaron faintly said.

Jake looked angrily away from me and to Aaron, he gently pushed me down on the floor and grabbed Aaron.

"I warned you Rushton!" He shouted. He was punching him and Aaron was punching back, now I can't stop as they would probably hit me by accident and my mum will go mad if he sees I'm hurt.
