Chapter 17

I was on the way home when I bumped into Amy.

"Amy I'm so sorry I exaggerated and I shouldn't have snapped at you I was just angry at Gemma and I took it out on you!" I hugged her and squeezed her.

"Maddi it's fine I get it! I would have done the same thing and I did fall out with her after you left!" She rolled her eyes when she said the last bit.

"Why?"

"Because she snapped at me that I stuck up for you, I didn't leave too long after you did actually and I spent all this time looking for you!"

I raised my eyebrows. "This long? It's been 5 hours!"

"Oh well I've found you now! What did you do all this time and who was that boy?" She asked sounding interested.

"Oh that's a friend, we went to get something to drink after we left then we met another two guys that are both our friends and we went to this craft shop and found different challenges to do and then we came here and did them all and it was really fun actually." I rushed as I wanted to ask her something else.

"Well it's obvious you had fun as you're going back home now... 5 hours after you left us." She raised her tone at the last words but I knew she didn't mean it in a bad way.

"Well..." I blushed.

"You're blushing you know that! Wait do you like that guy? She smiled.

"Um... Um no?" I guessed. "So what do you want to do now? Oh wait I need to ask you a question." I tried to change the subject.

"Don't change the subject! You like him don't you? You know you can't keep secrets from me!" She snapped.

"Fine I might have a little tiny crush on him!" I admitted.

"You know he did look cute! But he is a bad boy so don't let him break your heart..I don't want any more scars to appear on your body!" She put her finger up at me.

"Wait how do you know he's a bad boy? And don't worry I won't let him hurt me and my scars are starting to heal, I can barely see them now and I don't think they'll be noticeable except if I get a tan!" I felt happy saying that.

"Omg I still remember when you made yourself sick through all of you holiday over the summer just so you don't have to go to the beach and get into your bikini and show everyone including your family your scars that you've only told me and Allie about!" She laughed.

I joined in laughing too thinking how stupid I was back then. "Omg yeah that was discusting, it was a mix of water and salt I can imagine why I did get sick. Also while everyone was at the beach all day all I did was go down to the bar of the hotel where there was perfect internet and buy these really nice cocktails and milkshakes with money I found in my parents and granddad's pockets. And I texted you like 24/7 because I was bored and I wouldn't let you do anything all summer except for go to dance which was ok because I was asleep by then as you go late at night and there was a 2 hour difference." I hardly had any breath by the time I finished talking.

We both laughed our heads off.

"This summer I'm coming with you and if you still have the scars, we'll say that we don't want to go to the beach and we'll go by the pool together and mess around and play ball games." She ordered.

"Omg that'll be perfect!! I need to ask my mum! Amy? Do you have any plans for the next week?" My mood changed when I asked her the last question.

"No and Monday I have a TED (Teacher Education Day)." She knew what I was going to say.

"Ring your mum you're staying at mine for the whole like we used to do and on Monday you can hang around with my mum and when I get home after school I'll give you my blazer and I can give you a tour of the school!" I jumped up and down excited. I didn't even ask her all this, I just told her and I knew what the answer will be so it was fine.
