Chapter 10 - Welcome To The World

Chapter 10

7 months later

Ichigo P.O.V:

I was just chilling in my office sulking away at my paperwork as usual until--

Byakuya: Kurosaki! He yelled while slamming the door open

I shot up from the seat and some papers fell on the floor

Kurosaki: What the hell Byakuya?!! Would it kill you to knock on the door before you come in?!!!

Byakuya: That doesn't matter Rukia is in labor

Ichigo: What she is? I thought she was due in 2 weeks? I asked surprised

Byakuya: That doesn't matter just follow me

I quickly followed Byakuya and we made our way to the 4rth division. We got inside one of the hospitals and made it inside Rukia's room

I looked at Rukia. She was very pale and obviously in a lot of pain and the pain was only going to get worse

Rukia: Ichi..go. She said weakly

I walked over to her and grabbed her and gave her a reassuring smile

Ichigo: It's okay Rukia I'm right here we'll get through this aight. I said softly

A few hours later

Narrator P.O.V:

Doctor: It's a boy

The doctor quickly cut the umbilical cord and wrapped the baby in a soft blanket and set him down on Rukia. Rukia was crying uncontrollably. She couldn't believe it that she was finally a mother

Rukia: He's beautiful. She said while still crying

Doctor: Would you like to call in Kuchiki-san

I nodded my head. Soon Byakuya came in and saw the baby

He looked at him and he didn't know how to feel exactly. He was excited that he was an uncle and that Rukia was a mom but how is he going to turn out. Hopefully the baby doesn't turn out like an idiot like Kurosaki

Byakuya: What's his name. He said coldly

Ichigo quickly looked at Rukia and she nodded

Ichigo: His name is Kaien. Kurosaki Kaien.

Byakuya knew exactly how much that name meant to Rukia

Rukia: Ichigo do you want to hold him? She asked

Ichigo: Well I don't know how to hold a baby

Rukia: Come on it's like this. She said while positioning Kaien in Ichigo's arms

Ichigo looked at Kaien. He couldn't believe that what he was looking at was his son. Ichigo at this point couldn't control the tears

Ichigo: Kaien fits him perfectly. He said in soft tone

Rukia smiled at Ichigo. It wasn't everyday that she saw Ichigo cry tears of joy

Ichigo: Byakuya do you want to hold him

Byakuya was surprised by the question

Byakuya: But I never held a baby before

Ichigo: Oh come on. It's like this

Byakuya looked at Kaien with an unreadable expression. Even though he did not show it both Ichigo and Rukia knew that he was happy

Byakuya: As his uncle at least I can make sure he doesn't turn out an idiot strawberry like his father. Byakuya said with a faint smile
