𝐍𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐚 𝐫𝐚𝐧 down the hotel hallway while laughing with Lizzy and Alina, they were Nailea's best friends on the team and they were able to share a room with each other on the trip. Nailea was so excited to spend the week with her best friends, she thought of all the things they'd do and talk about.
"Can you open the door any slower Nai?"
"Give me a break! I have four big bags!"
The girls all began laughing as Nailea finally got the door open. Nailea looked around the room and saw two beds and a pull out couch. Nailea thought that the girls could just rotate sleeping positions every night to make it easier.
"Finally!"
Alina said as she dropped her bags and plopped onto one of the beds.
"It's so nice here, we need to spend this time while we have it."
Nailea said as she walked over to the window after dropping her bags.
"I say we go to the pool."
Lizzy said excitedly.
"Agreed."
Lizzy and Nailea said in sync.
On the other hand Alejandro was sitting in his room trapped in his thoughts. He had finished his school work and his friends couldn't hang out. He hated being by himself, he felt like his feelings ate him up while he was alone.
He couldn't text Nailea because he didn't want to ruin her fun in Florida. His mom had been working night shifts recently so he didn't have to see her at night. But it only made the boys' mornings way worse.
She was still hitting him and it was draining the boy even though he had nothing left for her to drain.
He had taken so many more hits trying to protect his little brother. Whether it was objects being thrown or his mom hitting him, he just didn't want to see his brother with any sort of pain.
Alejandro did not find joy in anything anymore, not even soccer and tiktok. All he wanted to do all day was stay in his room all day and night. He often thought how his life would be different if his parents didn't divorce or if his mom wasn't abusive.
He sighed and flopped backwards onto his bed and wished things were different.

Hi my gorgeous people! How is everyone? I've been decent actually, but school starts soon (yuck!) and it's stressing me out because I'm going to be a freshman, also I'm talking to a boy.
