Calm Down

Hiya! Thank you all so much for over 1K reads - I seriously am at a loss for words :)

Virgil's POV

I was having no luck with Roman, I turned to look at (Y/N) and as I looked at her I noticed something - her left eye looked a different colour to her right. I walked over to her to get a closer look, I used my thumb to lift her chin slightly so her face was more towards the light "(Y/N) your eye is purple" It was a familiar shade of purple - it was a similar shade to the one on my hoodie - her eyes widened and she looked very anxious - I've never seen anyone else in the mind palace act this anxious before - it was almost like she was anxiety.

"I'm sorry Virgil" was the last thing she said before sinking out.

As I turned around, I noticed an all to familiar face about to knock Princey out with his mace.

THUD!

"YOU KILLED HIM!" 

Roman murmured something from the floor so at least we know he's okay. 

"Ah, It's The Duke" somehow Logan was staying surprisingly calm, but it's Logan he's nearly always calm.

"Boo!"

"The Duke! Care to explain further!? Who is he!? What is he doing here!?" great, now Thomas is panicking.

"Oh, I just LOVE showing up where I'm not invited!"

"CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHO HE IS!?"

"It's kind of hard to explain."

"What!? No it's not! You just lack imagination! Let's start from the beginning!" 

Great, now he's singing, could this get any worse.

 (Y/N)'s POV

"I'm sorry Virgil" was the last thing I said before sinking out.

No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no! This can't be happening. I noticed that I was fiddling with the hem of my jumper - I was becoming more anxious by the second. I need to stop this, they can't find out about this. I made my way to my room and looked at myself in the mirror, my left eye was completely purple and my right eye was fading between (e/c) and purple. This hasn't happened in so long, I learned to control it, I just need to calm down. My Music Box! 

I ran across my room to the small wooden box and immediately began to wind it up, as the familiar melody began to play, I couldn't feel anything changing, my music box wasn't calming me down, I started to feel more anxious as I didn't know any other ways to calm down. I looked up from the small box and noticed my door turning purple, (If your door is already purple imagine it's not for now) It reminded me of Virgil, god I wish he was here right now, he would know what to do.

I need to focus. 

I'm basically the equivalent of Virgil right now, so I need to calm down the same way Virgil does. When he helped me earlier he tried to go through some breathing exercises, so maybe I should try those.

I started to feel better instantaneously, and I noticed by bedroom door returning to its normal (f/c) hue. I checked my eyes in the mirror and was glad to see that they were (e/c) and no longer purple.

I walked over to Logan's Room, I took the key from the wall-light and used it to unlock the door; I walked into the room and opened his top desk draw, once it was fully open I tugged on it once more revealing a hidden compartment in the back of the draw. The compartment was empty except for a small pill bottle covered in a thin layer of dust, I picked it up and put in my pocket. I hated stealing from him, but he didn't need them anyway. 

I carefully closed the draw, locked the door and put the spare key back in the wall-light. 

I went to the kitchen to get a glass of water, but on my way to my room I heard a noise from Remus's room - they can't be done already! I placed the water down in the corridor and made myself invisible. As I approached the door I noticed it was wide open, so I stepped inside, as I did I got a strong pain in the back of my head as if I had been hit with something. I looked forward and saw Janus fiddling with something with a dial on the side. He started turning the dial and the pain in my head got worse. He held it up to his ear and banged it a couple of times, he lowered it again before turning the dial all the way up - the pain was now excruciating and I fell to my knees.  

Janus's POV

I managed to slip away from the group when they deemed my advice unhelpful, I needed to borrow something from Remus for an experiment, and I thought now would be the perfect time to get it whilst him and everyone were momentarily distracted. As I walked into his room I prepared myself mentally for what I might find whilst looking for the item - I imagine it will be hidden pretty well. Much to my surprise it was just sitting on a table at the back of the room - you would think even someone as careless as Remus would know how important it was to make sure the item was hidden. 

The item in question was a small remote with a dial on the side, they are supposed to control something but we don't know what. I've managed to get Patton's, Roman's, and now Remus's. I started fiddling with it to see if anything would happen. I started turning the dial but nothing happened. I held it up to my ear and banged it a couple of times, I lowered it again before turning the dial all the way up, that was when I heard something hit the floor behind me.  

I whipped my head around, but saw nothing there, despite nothing being there I had the feeling that I wasn't alone. It was then that (Y/N) flickered in and out of view but she wasn't just stood there, she was on her knees holding her head in her hands "(Y/N)?!"

I just wanted to say again, thanks for all the support guys, it really means alot :)
