Y/N hunched over North, her heart kicking into overdrive, expecting to see the stars and stripes of America's flag.

But instead it was the hammer and sickle.

CCCP strode through the door, covered in gore, followed by two republics holding heavy-duty guns. He immediately focused on the two Koreas, lying hand in hand in a puddle of their own mingled blood.

South and North Jeolla hastily stepped back, clinging to each other in fear.

But the Soviet country paid them no mind, crouching by North's side.

"Comrade, do you want to live?" CCCP wasted no time.

"What kind of question is that?" North's voice was weak, fading. "Of course."

"You are dying. You realise this?" The Soviet stared intently at him. "There is only one way I can save you. Please, son. I do not want to lose you."

North sighed. "Fine." Blood sputtered over his lips as he spoke. South was still, evaporating like steam. "Just do it."

CCCP took the two Korea's joined hands, crushing them in his.

"What are you doing?!" Y/N screamed as North and South started crumbling faster, golden dust filling the air.

"Hush." CCCP's voice was intense, eyes focused on the whirling dust. "It will all be fine."

Y/N's sobs died down as she recognised the swirling shape that the dust was coalescing into- a body lying on the floor, where North and South's clasped hands had been.

The dust took form as... North. The country lay there, unmoving and unclothed.

Y/N crawled closer, shaking his shoulders gently, while CCCP stood back up, dusting off his hands. "North! North, please wake up!"

Y/N held his face between her hands. It had the same blue background, the same red band, and white stripes.

His eyes opened- one still white, and the other still a black cavity. His eyepatch was discarded on the ground.

"Y/N?" he croaked, and relief immediately flooded her.

But his next words made her blood run cold, her heart stopping in her chest.

"Who... are you? W-Who am... I?" The Countryhuman looked down at his hands in terror.

Horror dawned in Y/N as she realised what CCCP had done.

Though this body looked like the love of her life, her beloved North, it wasn't.

       This was Korea.

Korea sat bolt upright, and the harsh white light cast over his face, revealing what had been hidden in the shadows. Y/N realised that she hadn't looked closely enough, had been too focused on waking him up. Both of his eyes were white, present.

He blinked them, then scrambled back from her- no, from CCCP.

"Stay away from me!" he cried in South's voice. "What did you do to me?"

Y/N flinched. North had never sounded like that- so childishly scared.

CCCP took off his blood-splattered coat, draping it over Korea's naked body. "Nothing the more important side of you did not want."

He turned his attention to South and North Jeolla, huddled together like graceful, scared birds.

Without a word, they suddenly fled, running out the door.
