GRIZZ PULLED CAMILLE'S CAR INTO THE PARKING LOT just as a police cruiser pulled in right next to them. Devyn furrowed her eyebrows as she leaned over him to see who was driving it. None other than Clark Beecher. She exchanged a look with her boyfriend, who just shrugged, looking just as curious as she did.

"Fucking morons," Devyn heard Leighanne mumble as they all got out of their cars and walked over.

"What do you think?" Clark exclaimed, pointedly looking at Devyn and her team. Jason offered Clark a high five, praising the boy for being a genius. "Keys were inside. Who knew?"

Devyn just rolled her eyes at the pair. "You're gonna need more than a cruiser to win against us," Leighanne sassed, briefly locking eyes with Clark.

Harry called for everyone's attention, explaining all the rules. "We're diving up. We have three teams of six as cops. If you're not on a team, then you're a fugitive. The teams will be competing to see who can catch the most fugitives. Whoever wins, wins. No prize, just bragging rights," Harry explained, standing on the hood of a car. "Safety is the church. Jail is the gazebo on the green. Make sure you mark your fugitives so that we can keep track for the final count to see who wins."

Devyn grinned as she'd spotted Elle standing nearby. The girl makes her way over, grinning a bit. "Hey, Elle." The blonde sends Devyn a polite smile. "You came."

"Yeah, but I don't think I'm gonna play," She says, folding her arms across her chest.

Devyn noticed the girl's awkwardness as they spoke. Her eyes dashed around the parking lot, scanning though the faces in the small crowd. "That's fine. You can watch my team destroy the other ones." Devyn smirked as she spoke. The girl was more than confident in her team winning.

"What, do you guys have some kind of bet going on?" Elle questions.

"It started out that way, but then we wanted to let other people make teams so that it'd be fair," Devyn explains. "Whichever team captures the most fugitives wins."

Elle's eyebrows furrow a bit. "What is there to win?"

"Bragging rights," Devyn says, shrugging her shoulders. "It's really just the perfect distraction from what's going on around us."

Elle just nods, smiling at the girl's excitement.

Upon hearing the sound of footsteps harshly colliding with the pavement, Devyn turned to see that all of the fugitives were already running. The girl sent Elle a smile before running over to where the teams were all standing.

"You ready to lose, Devyn?" Harry teased, twirling his keys around his finger.

"You wish, Harry."

The rich boy just smirked down at the girl before looking slightly shocked at something behind her. Curious, Devyn turned to see Allie approaching them, grinning.

"You showed up," Harry said, acknowledging the girl.

"Well, who said I was playing? I could just be here to watch," Allie replied.
