Colors collided, and scents coiled in a calm but sharp way. Sounds, sharp intakes of breath and wailing people and roots turning in the soil below. Moves were made, light flickered and then there were hands on her again, caressing the hollow of her cheekbone and the tense muscles on the back of her neck, sending everything into her at once from those fingertips.

It was unfamiliar but so pleasant, nothing like how she had ever felt.

Her mind screamed a name, but her heart sung another's. Violent but tender, self-sacrificing how its melody called. It reminded her of the way her father used to croon in her ear as she would drift into a sleep filled of a magical, free land crammed with impossible hopes and careless dreams.

But instead of lulling her to sleep, the whisper gave her enough life to look up slightly and into a pair of wild golden eyes, overflown like the sunset and the sunrise, like the glint of a most precious and rare jewel, like an endless swim in unbearably sweet honey.
