Kiara

"I stopped waiting for the light at the end of the tunnel. I lit that bitch up myself"

KIARA straightened her white blazer as she walked towards her office in her white heels, their clicking sound the only one heard on the floor. Her white pants complimented her attire whereas her hair was tied up in a tight ponytail. Her red lipstick made her look deadly, one look at her and she would kill you right then and there. She radiated power and walked like she owned the place. Which, she technically did.

No one could mistake her for a mere eighteen-year-old, though.

Years of struggle and planning had made her this heartless woman, who was taken very seriously by everyone that surrounded her. Some desired her for her beauty whereas others saw her business tycoon side.

"What's in the agenda today, Ms Ace?" Kiara asks her secretary, Pamela Ace as the girl quickly enters the office behind her much feared boss with a cup of her favourite black coffee with two cubes of sugar and three spoons of milk in it.

"You are expected to be present at the board meeting to discuss your new business idea and look into the sales. Also, your late father's lawyer has requested your audience. He says it's urgent." the redhead informs her boss as she hands her the files required for the meeting.

"Okay, good. Ask Mr. Hamesh to meet me at 3, after the meeting. And tell him to not to be late, at all. I have some dealings to look after the meeting. You may leave." Kiara replies.

The secretary hurries out, back to dealing with the stack of files that she needed to deal with it.

Kiara finally rested in her office chair, savoring the bitter taste of coffee in her mouth and the burning sensation that came in her throat when she gulped it. There was absolute silence in her massive office. She rested her legs on her white colored marble table and gazed out of her office wall which was made of glass. She admired the beauty of the city of New York that surrounded her. Sitting on the 41st floor of her building, she couldn't be more proud of what she had achieved. This building was the only thing that made her connect with her father. This office was where once she sat and made some important decisions.

This office was the last place where she saw her father.

She missed him dearly. Kiara was well aware of her father's dealings - she knew that he was no saint. His father had killed people, and even got them killed. He had enemies but when you are have so much power, you are bound to. But he was her father, no matter what.

The father who bought her barbies on her birthdays, who told story tales when she couldn't sleep, the father who always protected her. And now, he was just, gone.

She couldn't even see her father's body after his death, the car blast had completely reduced his father's body to ashes. She still remembers the day she was informed of her father's demise. More of a murder, though.

She couldn't believe it first, her father had promised her that he would always be with her. Yet, he broke it. But she had to be strong, for her younger sister, Sejal. That day she had vowed that she would not rest until her father is avenged.

And now, she was close. There was just one more to go.

As Kiara took over her father's business, which was completely gone at that point, at the age of 15, she couldn't have been more certain about what she wanted in her life. For five years, she had lived in her father's safe house in New York and when she was finally ready, she came like a tsunami. It was hard initially, but she built back her father's empire and made it hers. Bought all those companies that were in her father's name in hers.
