"MR REYNOLDS has sent this invite for you, Miss Kapoor. Where do you want me to keep it?", Ms Ace, Kiara's secretary asks her.
Kiara simply looks at the card on her hand, least concerned about what to do with it. She was no longer concerned about Damien since he seems to be busy searching for a wife for himself and luckily, Kiara wasn't on the list. Luckily.
She wasn't sure Damien will give up on what he desires so easily. But she was somewhat sure that when he sees the amazing women the world can offer him, he would surely change his mind. She wanted nothing to do with him. Hopefully, this charity event will put her off his radar.
A girl can only dream and hope, right?
"Send it to home, I will need it on Sunday," she replies in return and gets back to work.
Files on files, she kept reading and then signing them accordingly. She went through the sales of her cosmetic brands and then looked at the earnings of the production house. Everything was looking fine as of now, but in the business world, you can never be certain.
The production house was set to launch an upcoming movie that was quite a buzz nowadays, thanks to the millions the company spent on advertising. Kiara was expected to attend the launch party.
The entertainment business wasn't much of Kiara's concern, she didn't find it comforting at all. The people would do anything to be on top and Kiara absolutely despised the misuse of power. That's why she personally looked through the list of actors selected for the roles in the movies, most of the times. With her schedule, it became difficult to go through every single detail all the time but she somehow managed.
That's why she is what she is today.
"Ms Ace!" she called for her secretary.
The redhead quickly entered the office, adjusting her glasses.
"Yes, Miss Kapoor?" Ms Ace asks.
"Tell Reed to prepare a gown and tux for Sunday. He knows my size and he can ask for Zains from Robert. I want nothing flashy, simple and elegant will be fine with me. I want to see it by Saturday evening. Also, get the car ready. I will be down in five minutes. Clear out my schedule for the day." Kiara orders Ms Ace.
"Yes, Miss Kapoor," she replies.
After going through everything one last time, Kiara decided that it was time for a break. She had been working hard for too long and with Zain here she finally had a reason to enjoy and rest. She was the boss woman, after all, she makes the rules not break them.
"The car is ready, Miss Kapoor." she hears her secretary say from the other end of the door.
Kiara grabs her phone and adjusts her pencil dress to walk out of her office.
"Take a break, Ms.Ace. I will see you tomorrow morning," she tells her secretary while walking away from her.
Kiara takes her private elevator, passing through the irritating stares of her employees. She knew that she looked beautiful and had a domineering aura, but they don't have to stare at her like idiots every time she passes by them!
She walks to her car, which as said was waiting for her at the entrance. Aman opens the door for her as she gets in.
"Take me to the bank, Aman," she tells him.
