Zain

"I will love you even when we are ghosts."

KIARA WAS HIDING something - Zain knew that very well. The way she would try to avoid the conversation when they stirred to that night when she disappeared from his sight for about thirty minutes, puzzled him. He very much saw Damien behind her that night and as she followed him to nowhere he could only imagine what might have happened between them.

And his imagination was doing him no good.

He stopped asking her after multiple trials since he knew that if she wanted to tell him, she would have. Maybe, it was nothing important.

Maybe.

A day had passed by since that incident and Zain chose to remain quiet now. The awkward silence between them was something that Zain despised the most - they are engaged and supposed to be comfortable with each other. Most importantly, they should have no secrets.

"Pack this one, too. You would look sexy as hell in this." Sejal says beside him.

He is supposed to start his tour in two days. The preparation was all done and Zain was confident enough on his dancing and singing skills now. The tickets were sold out and like Kiara had promised - this was going to be bigger than ever. He was supposed to tour for an entire month - through the major cities in America, then heading off to Tokyo, Mumbai, Delhi and many more places on the list than he could imagine.

A world tour was going to demand a lot of his energy and time but this was what Zain had signed up for. He wanted this more than anything and both Kiara and Sejal had assured him that they would be there to help him.

That one month was going to be a month of endless opportunities.

Kiara had lectured him to be careful while meeting people because the wrong company can send his career tumbling down. Zain was very much aware that he needs to be careful in this line of work - drugs and alcohol was something he despised from the very beginning and he didn't intend to surrender them even now.

"Yeah. Is everything now done? You know they will be handing me out a new piece every time I perform." Zain argues, looking at the size of the luggage he has.

"Yes, I know. But I want you to look good all the time. Your flight leaves in an hour, so stop complaining and get going. You are so lucky that we have private planes or else travelling would have been hell." she replied.

"Yeah. I know." he sighs and replies.

Sometimes, he just feels like he might be using Kiara's wealth. That's why Zain worked hard - he didn't want Kiara to think that she was wasting her money on nothing. The expectations and the dreams were too high, at least for him.

He knew that Kiara didn't mind but he wasn't used to someone doing everything for him. For the times to be all good.

"There is something going on your mind," Sejal said.

Zain sighed. He needed to get this off his chest.

"Kiara... she is hiding something. I know that it's related to Damien. And it's not good. I just hope that she trusts me. I don't want us fighting over nothing." he said.

He watched Sejal's reaction after hearing Damien's name. Something about her eye's widening and her face getting pale told him that the name didn't hold the best of interest in this house, at least.
