After I dropped off Kelton I headed over to the school to meet up with Kayla. I hurried inside and found her sitting in the hall waiting for me.
“Sorry I’m late.”
She looked up at me and smiled.
“Oh it’s okay.”
I lead her into the practice room. I looked her over; she has a perfect figure and her face…
“What?” she giggled.
“Oh nothing just amazed, uh you look just like your brother. I mean I know you are twins and all but wow.”
I could see her blushing. I smiled and walked over to the piano and we started practicing. After a couple of hours it was time to leave. When we got outside she turned and said her goodbye.
“Would you like a ride home?”
“Sure, that would be great!”
So I showed her to my car, which was one of the last cars in the parking lot.
“So will you always be late like that? Just so I know to wait.”
“No, I skipped out of school today. That’s why I was late.”
She looked at me funny when I told her this. Then it hit me that Kelton had told her he was skipping classes.
“Yeah I was hanging out with Kelton. I guess I’m a bad influence on him.”
I smiled at her and she just stared at me. I didn’t really feel that uncomfortable by this, I guess I’m used to it. We got to her house and I thought about walking her up to the door but decide against it.
“You want to come in? My parents aren’t home but Kelton is.”
After thinking it over and realized how much I really wanted to go in so I agree. We walked in and Kelton was lying on the couch watching TV. He shot up and looked at Kayla and then at me.
“Uh hey what’s up?”
“Nothing, just invited Skye in for a while.”
He sat up so I could sit down. Kayla offered me a drink and went to get us all a pop.
“So what have you two been up to?”
I looked over at him and he was just staring at the ground. I thought it was odd behavior but didn’t put much thought into it.
“Well like I said we met up at the school. Then we practiced for two hours before coming back here.”
He shot a look at me maybe to see if I was telling the truth or something. Kayla came in, lighting up the whole room with her smile. She is breath taking. After talking and hanging out for a while I decided to take off. They walked me out but before taking off I hollered at Kelton to come here.
“Hey what’s up?”
“Am I crazy or before, when it was just the two of us, did I sense some, I don’t know, awkwardness?” I asked.
He just stared at me like a deer in highlights.
“Or maybe some jealousy?” I smiled, “It’s cool, I understand. I have to say your sister is gorgeous!”
He looked down at the ground.
“And I think it’s obvious she likes you. If you’re asking for my permission or something to ask her out it’s cool with me.”
“Well yes she is beautiful and all but she’s not really my type. I guess it’s good for me that she has a twin brother who looks just like her.”
His eyes flew up to mine. I just smiled at him and stole a kiss before jumping in my car and speeding off.
