Chūnin Exams (Thoughtful)

KAKASHI P.O.V

It's time again, the chūnin exam. All the jonin leader here gathered at the meeting room with Lord Third sitting at his desk.

With all the other jonin allowed their student to take the chūnin exams, I was hesitated to let my student take it. But I'm sure that they can handle it, die or survive.

The fact that Naruto was knucklehead block but he's strong to handle himself, Sasuke with his dream to restore his clan and kill that certain someone, I doubt he can handle it too. And Sakura, her skilled is over to fangirl with her crush. I just hope she can take it.

After I said my permission for my team to take the test. The hokage spoke but only to cut off by the voice agruing with our decision.

It was Iruka.

He was pissed of why we let our student to take the test, especially Naruto. I know it's his favorite student, and worry sick about Naruto.

But he is not his student anymore, it's now our responsible to lead them to be the strong shinobi. They also need to know the will of fire and be independent.

Iruka wanted to argue more but stop when Lord Third stepped in. Told him that he need to put a trust on them, they need to grow on their own.

After that arguing and bickering stop, we all bow at the Third before walk out the room.

I pulled out three slip paper for chūnin exams with one of the paper have my students name on it. I put it back into my pouch and pull out my book.

'A chūnin exams, huh? It sure brings back memories.' I thought back the old times with my late teammate and sensei. As I thought about it, I brought my feet to the monument K.I.A stoned. Where the names of my teammate was.

A hours later, it's time to meet with team 7. How they react when I told them I put their names into the chūnin exams list.

They will happy, yeah it's time to show your true strenght to your enemies. I used a teleport and appear with a cloud of smoke on the crossbar over the bridge.

Naruto and Sakura was yelled at me for being late.

"Sorry I'm late, I have a meeting earlier."

Sasuke huffed with a 'hn'. Emo.

"Why we meet here sensei? And you said you had something to told us! What is it?" Naruto approach me with a wide eyes.

"But it's up to you guys, you want to accept it or not." I take out the slip papers with their names and hand it to front them. "The chūnin exams."

Naruto and Sakura both shocked at hearing the news and Sasuke turn at me not surprise but he's interest. Naruto was the first one to cheer and suddenly he throw himself at me with his arms wrap around my waist. I push Naruto lightly from me and give him the slip.

I look at Sakura, she seem hesitant don't know what to choose.

"We'll meet at the training ground tomorrow." And with that I vanished with a cloud of smoke behind.

(Y/N) P.O.V

I sit at the dango shop with Kurenai and Asuma. I finally have time to spend with them. I look between them as they look worry about something.

"Are you two okay?" I ask them both.

"We are okay, just worry a bit." Kurenai said.

"I'm not worry that much but hope they doing good when the time it's come." Asuma said as he lighter his cigerate.

"What's come?" I said confusing.

"The Chūnin exams. You don't know?" Asuma raised his eyebrows at me. My jaw open slightly.

"Ahh, I forgot about it." I mentally face palm and shook my head. "So, are both of you allowed your student to take it?"

They both nodded.

I nod back at them. 'So, it's senpai placed his student into that chūnin exams too? Can Naruto do it?'

"Do you think your student can make it?"

"I just hope they can do it, they are Ino-Shika-Cho after all." I smirk at Asuma and turn to look at Kurenai.

"I'm just worry about Hinata, she is too soft and shy but with Kiba and Shino at her side I think she can make it."

I made a short hummed in respone before shoved one of my dango into my mouth. I swallowed it slowly as I lost in thought.

They still have a few weeks before the chūnin exams, right? It's that okay if I train Naruto a bit... I bit inside my cheeks, if Naruto don't have anyone to train with I want to train him... I should ask Kakashi about it.

"(Y/N)?" A hand wave in front of my face.

I blink a fews time and look at Asuma. "Yeah?"

"You seems lost in thought what's on your mind?"

I paused a moment as I think. What jutsu that Naruto can use accept for his clone jutsu?

Can he use waterstyle? Or earthstyles? Lightning? I sigh, may be I can train him more about taijutsu. Or I can teach him about kenjutsu...no, he is still a kid and I don't know if he can use a sword.

I mentally face palm when I imagine Naruto use the sword. He will accidently cut himself or his comrades or the tree or cat...

Speaking of sword, It feels like I haven't used it in a long time. That because I broke it a month ago, that damn mission. 'I'm sorry dad, I broke your katana.'

That just left my really old tanto, and I think it is already coated with dust. It feel weird when I go onto mission without my katana, should I buy another? Or-

"Oi, (Y/N)!"

I flinched when I felt a hand patted on my head. I look at the couples in front and raised my eyebrows at them.

"I just got your attention and you lost in thought again?"

Asume grit his cigarette in annoying, almost separated it.

"Umm." I scratched my head with a closed eyes smile. "I just thought about that chūnin exams." I shrugged.

If the chūnin exams started, then Tenzō must be more busy after this.

"Are you in charge during the chunin exam?" Kurenai ask.

"Nope. Just to be prepared in case something happens."

"Same with us, anyway I should get going to meet my team." Asuma got up and paid the bill.

We walk out and greeted well by the hot sun. I squint my eyes as I use my hand to block the sunlight.

"See you around." Asuma give me a side embrace. I turn at Kurenai and gave her one to.

"You know, I didn't notice that you are already as tall as me." Kurenai said as she reach her hand up from her head to mine. I chuckled at her and shook my head.

"Yeah. I'm a bit taller actually."

She hit my arm lightly before turn towards Asuma.

"See you both around." I waved at them.

I walked back towards my apartment with my hand shove into my pocket before let out a sigh. Tonight will be lonely, Tenzō's not coming home tonight so maybe I will just cuddle with my blanket.
