I wake up with a yawn and see some of the dwarfs up and packing up. I quickly make sure my face is still covered by my cloak before stretching out my back. While I'm rolling up my bedroll and blankets. The journey onward brought us misery, rain pounding down on the earth and wind whipping harshly against our cloaks. Fili and Kili rode their horses up towards mine and we start talking and joking around trying to lighten the damp mood. Fili grabs an apple from his sack and we start throwing the apple around to each other. I toss it and Kili didn't see it coming so it slammed into his nose making Fili and I roar with laughter. Kili throws the apple back at me hard so I duck and it ends up hitting Thorin. Fili Kili and I gasp our faces becoming even more pale. Thorin glares at us and scolds us. We go back to the back of the group and are silent. I hear Nori ask,"Gandalf can't you do anything about this rain?"
"Master dwarf it will continue raining until it's done. If you wanted to control the weather you should've asked another wizard."
"Are there any?" Bilbo questions.
"Any what?" Gandalf asks.
"Other wizards."
"Oh yes there are five. There is Sauraman the white, two blue wizards whom I have long forgotten the names of."
"What about the fifth?"
"Oh that's Radagast the Brown."
"Is he a great wizard or more like you."
I snort loudly and try to cover it up with a cough but Gandalf glares at me. I widen my eyes innocently.
"He's a great wizard in his own way, he lives with the animals." Gandalf replies trying to sound un offended.
"What about you Lyn?"
"If you want me useful for the rest of the trip then I can't. It takes too much energy to change the weather."I say.
The conversation dies down and we continue our journey. The rain stops after another two groveling hours. When the sun starts to set we stop at a clearing with some rubble.
"A farmer and his family used to live here." Gandalf says. I too feel a bad vibe coming from this place I just can't place it. Gandalf and Thorin start arguing and soon Gandalf is storming off.
"Where are you going Gandalf?" Bilbo asks.
"Taking refuge with the only one who has sense." He responds
"And who would that be?"
"Myself Mr. Baggins!"
Soon Gandalf is out of sight and Thorin sends Fili and Kili to watch the horses while Bombur makes stew. I set out my bedroll and dry my clothes before helping Bombur and Bofur with the stew.
"Bilbo, can you take these bowl to Fili and Kili?" He nods and starts walking away.
"Wait. I'll come with you." I say grabbing my bowl and following after him.
We get to the clearing and see Fili and Kili standing like statutes, staring at the horses.
"What's wrong." I ask.
"We have a slight problem." Fili starts.
"We were supposed to be watching the horses." Kili continues.
"There are supposed to be 16."
"Now there are 14."
Bilbo and I start counting the horses.
"Were missing Daisy and Bongo." Bilbo states.
"Something big took them." I observe.
"Our thoughts exactly." Fili and Kili say. I look around the forest and see what seems to be a bonfire.
"There's a light over there." I say.
