The night we craved for

"Hey idiots~" I felt a familiar hand rub my ear and Kirishima groan in the distance, the voice felt familiar somehow and it's hushed tone suggested he truly cared about us but in our tired state, neither of us could work it out.

"Those tears dried yet?" A thumb ran under my eyes "or did you two dumbasses finally wear each other out?" What Bakugo didn't know is because it was an extremely hot night, we were both naked under the covers. The only reason Bakugo wasn't as warm was because of how the air temperature outside high up was so much colder than on the ground.

Kirishima and I mentally counted how long before those clothes came clean off "don't you dare ever leave us again...Baka" my muffled words caught the king off guard "'hello' to you too. I don't plan to, those two really know how to get on my nerves"

Bakugo climbed over me and into the middle before going to lift the sheets realising why neither of us had made a move "oh that's why, huh? That's your reason for not throwing yourselves at me? Don't worry, I can take it"

I dropped the entire weight of my top half onto his chest which hurt me more than it did him but I didn't care, I was baking hot and he was colder "Kiri, get over here...he's like ice" Kirishima didn't need to hear anymore, he too flopped on the other side of Bakugo's chest.

"So how long before you dumbasses stopped crying over me?" I held up three fingers "three hours?" I shook my head into his chest "three days?!" Kirishima confirmed it with a single nod "you two are such babies!" We both rose our heads slowly to glare at him. Kirishima might of been just staring but I on the other hand, was full on hissing with an arched back.

"Oh shut up!" He tried to push my face away but I simply got off the bed nude and began to walk away. I would've succeeded if he hadn't grasped my tail stopping me from going anywhere "Nice ass, kitty cat"

I didn't even bother covering my backside, I just enjoyed the breeze from the tiny cracks around the edge of the window "We're mad because you left us for so long" there was this other sound I couldn't quite decipher.

It sounded like some sort of clicking noise and footsteps, something with clawed feet? I had clawed feet but I wasn't moving and my claws were trimmed because I was now a spoiled brat and I didn't want to accidentally hurt the people I care about.

"Hang on, she hears something" Bakugo had learned to recognise my body language over time, his main focus was my ears and eyes. Each time the click sounded, it caused my ear to turn slightly in the direction of the sound "seriously man? We have no issues without you except overheating and now that you're back, something's up?"

Kirishima lifted his head to look at me "you weren't kidding" no matter how hard I tried to work out what it was, I couldn't put my finger on it and it drove me crazy. "What is it that you hear exactly?" My arms wrapped around myself

"Some sort of animal clicker? And claws on cobblestone? I think? Definitely inside the kingdom perimeters. I'd say in the east of the courtyard but the clicker keeps distracting me" I threw on some clothes went out to search for the intruder.

The cool breeze was a warm welcome as I walked around "Who's there?!" the sound of scrambling against the stone floor could be heard in the distance along with things breaking but that damn clicker kept going.

Out of the darkness, shot some kind of dart but it was a lousy shot. All it did was land at my feet wreaking of chemicals and ketamine "if you're trying to shoot me, you've got try harder than a small dose of ketamine"

On the edge of the shadows, I saw a figure struggling with the weapon that fired the dart "Show yourself!" Instead of stepping forward, the figure dashed away like some sort of animal on all fours...catfolk? But no one would ever dare stray this far west?

"Found anything babe?" I shook my head as Bakugo joined me outside "Yea. There was a catfolk here, had some sort of dart weapon" I pointed to where the creature had appeared as I crouched fo inspect the dart closer. It looked like something you'd get from the hunter's market "we might have a hunter on our hands"

I felt his hand come down on my shoulder gently "everyone says your kind are more valuable, right?" I stood slowly turning into his embrace "it's unusual for a catfolk to wander this far from the main villages" I rubbed my head against the side of his neck comfortingly "I missed you, we both did. I guess we're just both too proud to admit it?"

I felt his lips press to my forehead "too proud, huh? Or too hot?" I brought him in to the tightest hug I'd ever given "never" from there, I slung my legs around his waist leaving my tail to swing in the breeze.

His hands looped underneath me "if we don't go back in, you could disappear or that idiot will take up the whole bed. It needs to fit all three of us, not just him" my grip tightened as Bakugo waddled inside with me clinging to his front like some bear cub.

"We're back, it was just some dumbass messing around outside curfew" instead of dropping me harshly, he laid me down and kissed my forehead "Ooh, what happened between you two?" I went to crawl over to my side of the sheets but my wrists were pinned above my head "Wanna admit what you said outside?!"

I glanced at Kirishima who just stared back expectantly "don't let me stop you!" I scowled at him pouting but I giggled when Bakugo prodded my sides with one hands "hey! I'm still talking to you!" I leaned up and kissed him lovingly hoping he'd let me go "we're too proud to admit we missed you, and we're sorry that it's really hot tonight. Please forgive us?"

As Bakugo let go, Kirishima pulled me towards him cuddling my body "How dare you reveal our secret!" Bakugo just moved so he was behind us wrapping his arms around the both of us "this is the life! Two idiots and me!" He nuzzled both our heads lovingly as we snuggled in.
