The little lighthouse on the left,
It was always so isolated and piercingly bitter,
Big in size, red on the outside, and distant on the inside,
Shinning it's luminous rays over the sea in hopes of a will,
A will to live,
A will to wake up and keep moving,
A will to be needed by someone other than what it's for,
It occasionally saw humans, and sometimes they stayed but never long enough,
Nobody ever stayed ... weren't humans meant to stay? Forever?
The lighthouse always found itself alone and maybe ... it was them for why it never worked out with others,
Maybe;
The little woman on the right,
She was always so isolated and disengaged,
Big in size, blue on the outside, optimistic on the inside,
Shinning her illuminating rays over the world in hopes of a home,
A home to be loved,
A home to be supported,
A home that needed herself and others to feel like one,
She occasionally saw homes within humans, and sometimes they stayed but never long enough,
Nobody ever stayed ... weren't homes humans meant to stay? Forever?
She always found herself alone and maybe ... it was her for why it never worked out with others,

Brief Description:
I wrote this poem on the behalf of many experiences that I've had with people. Have you ever felt that you gave your all to someone (not necessarily romantically) and they didn't give it back? I feel like this with everyone that I meet- I always go above and beyond and I'm always wanting to partake in their interest to be closer to them. However, people don't do the same for me and it's not that they are bad people but you just can't expect yourself in others. It's destructive to your mental health and it's not their fault you assumed their character when they've never shown that side of themselves. So, I wrote this poem to acknowledge those rough feelings and to show that you can be so consumed in being upset about this that you aren't aware of the positivity that you bring into the universe. Without the lighthouse, people wouldn't know how to navigate the sea or know when there's danger among the sea. Without you .... people wouldn't know the things that they do or find another you anywhere else. Just because people mistreat or take your presence for granted- doesn't mean that you should give up! I'm a firm believer that there are people out there who will provide you with what you need and who will cherish the life out of you. Just be easy and allow the universe to guide you to where you need to be and with whoever destined to be with. This is your sign to stop worrying so much about things that don't matter and have faith in your path.💚💚
