I didn't know why I made the portal ten MILES away from the city, but I walked the entire distance in about four hours. It was barely sunup, and I stepped through the doors of Moray Towers and straight to the elevator and hit the button for the 5th floor. The doors slid shut, and I was heading up to Mike's apartment. I don't know how I remembered that his apartment was 75, but I did. I reached the floor and headed to his door and knocked on it.

Me(thinking): Please tell me you're awake.

I heard the lock unlock, and the door slowly opened, and Mike was behind it, wearing what I could mostly tell was a Chef's uniform. He looked at me with his golden eyes and smiled.

Mike: Good to see you again, Orange.

Me: Actually, I don't go by Orange anymore. I go by Travis now.

Mike: Well, we can legally change that, can't we?

Me: Of course we can. I just need to find the Name Rater and change it.

Mike: That's a Pokémon reference, but we can just change it by going to City Hall and getting you a new identification card. Problem solved. Now if you'll excuse me, I got to get to work.

Me: Nautical Diner, right? Never ate there, but I heard Marie loved the food.

Mike: I bet she likes it even more because she knows I cook he food. I can make a good Omelette and even Surf and Turf. You know, back when I first worked there, I could not, for the life of me, make a good steak. Now, I'm almost 99 accurate with them. Ask for rare, I give you rare. Want a chicken omelette with extra cheese in it? You got it.

Me: How many people ask for a well-done steak in a shift?

Mike: Well, I mostly work my usual ten hour shifts, but I'd usually find ways to either stay a bit longer, or leave a little early. Mostly, it's ten hours. And... judging by the time of day and how many hours I work, I'd say I get probably five, maybe six people who ask for well-done. Since I mostly work day-shift, I work breakfast, but sometimes I work late through the evening. Lunch rush is usually the time we get the Surf and Turf.

Me: Well, I shouldn't keep you waiting. Head on out. Also, is it okay if I bunk in your bed for a few hours? I didn't get any sleep last night.

Mike: Of course. What kind of brother would I be if I didn't let you use something that belongs to me?

Me: What about Serina?

Mike: She actually doesn't live with me right now. She's still with the Sisters in the Canyon. Believe me when I say I've asked her for several weeks for her to live with me.

Me: And I will. Anyways, have fun at work.

Mike: Yeah Yeah. It's not actually that bad. Unless Caleb is there. That boy cannot do shit for the life of himself. Then again, he's the new guy there, and I just HAVE to teach him the works. Sometimes, I just want to shove his head in the toilet, but I suppose if we have to work together, might as well get along.

Me: Yeah. Have fun with that. I'll be in your bed for a few hours. Besides, what time is it?

Mike: Roughly six. I work seven to five. Usually I like to get there a bit early to prepare and all.

Me: Good luck. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to use your bed for a few hours.

Mike: Nothing wrong with that. Go right on ahead. Also, before you ask, yes, I washed the sheets.

Me: I wasn't going to, but thanks for that, anyways.

Mike: Anytime you need me, I'll be there for you. We're brothers. We got each other's backs.
