We Only See Each Other at Weddings and Funerals

My siblings and I all stand at the bottom of the long spiraling staircase waiting for Vanya to blow the whistle.

She blows it and we all start running towards the stairs. I end up being the third one up and my other siblings following behind me, Diego, and Luther.

I smirk to myself as I stop on the stairs and let my siblings pass me as I start floating up through the center.

Five looks up and smirks at me then begins teleporting up in front of Diego and continues running.

"That's not fair, Fiona and Five are cheating!" Diego shouts up to Dad.

"They've adapted." Dad yells down.

I stick my tongue out at Diego and continue floating up the stairs.

I sit next to Five and cry into his shoulder as we wait in the chairs to get our official umbrella tattoos.

Currently, Diego is getting his and Five, Ben, Luther, and I are waiting in chairs beside him.

As Diego squirms and flinches as the needle goes in and out of his skin my brothers and I are scared shitless.

I sit at the kitchen table with my head in my hands. Five is doing god knows what and Klaus is sitting at the head of the table cuddling his guitar. All I can think about is what Luther did to Ben's statue.

Allison walks in with her coat over her arm. Once she spots Five and I, she sets it down and walks towards us.

"Where's Vanya?" She asks.

"Oh, she's gone." Klaus explains.

"That's unfortunate." Five comments earning a glare from me.

"Yeah." Allison agrees.

"An entire square block. Forty-two bedrooms, 19 bathrooms, but no, not a single drop of coffee." Five spits out and slams the kettle onto the table.

"Dad hated caffeine."  I remind him and give him a look.

"Well, he hated children, too, babe, and he had plenty of us." Klaus says laughing.

"I'm taking the car." Five explains and starts walking out of the kitchen.

"Where are you going?" I ask sitting up giving him a sassy attitude.

"To get a decent cup of coffee." Five sasses back.

"Do you even know how to drive?" Allison asks breaking the eye contact between me and Five.

"I know how to do everything." Five says and then teleports out of the room.

"I feel like we should try and stop him, but then again, I also just kinda want to see what happens." Klaus stands up and swipes in the area where Five just was.

We hear an engine start outside and turn to the sound figuring it's Five. I look at Allison and then to Klaus and shrug my shoulders. "We'll see."

"Alright, I guess I'll see you guys in, what, ten years? When Pogo dies?" Diego says coming into the room.

"Not if you die first." Allison says crossing her arms.

"Yeah, love you too, sis. Good luck on your next film. Hope it turns out better than your marriage, huh?" Diego says giving me a kiss on the cheek.
