Chapter five 

STEPHANIE'S POV 

After the various name calls like slut , wannabe and other stuff , I got slammed into a locker by Jessie and tripped by Gabbie who left me alone when I needed her to go to Michelle because she is much more popular than me .

Then , a hand grabbed me from behind . I was pulled into a dark and empty room .

" Hey . " Said the male voice .

" Turn on the lights . What's going on ? " I asked .

" You are invited to Jack's place . Would you like to go ? " 

" Not if you do not turn on the lights " I said being stubborn 

" Nate will be there " Daniel said as he turned on the lights revealing himself . 

" I do not care about him . " 

" Just admit you like him . You will never get a shot with him anyways so stop dreaming . " 

" I do not like him and I don't want a shot either . " 

" Listen geek , Jack told me to invite you or we might get beat up by Jake if we aren't nice to you . "

" Jake's the reason behind this ? " I asked 

" Gotta go " Daniel said and he left without answering my question .

Jake isn't likely to do this . 

The next class , Mrs . Gibbs was absent and we were left to ourselves . 

Jake walked up to me and said " Michelle is at cheerleading practice . I haven't seen her till now . Let's go meet her . "

" Okay " I said as he dragged me all the way up to the basketball court . 

Michelle was there and she was practicing her cheerleading and their routine was just as flawless as Beyonce . The thing that caught my eye was she went to the back of the court right after the routine . 

" Let's surprise her ! She just went out there ! " I said making Jake blush a bit . I pushed his ass across the whole court to the door and I opened the door to find Michelle kissing Max . The best basketballer of the eleventh grade . 

Jake was speechless . Michelle saw him and she said " Oh shit ... umm look , it isn't what it looks lik- " she was interrupted by Jake's words " You know I loved you more than anything . How could you do something like this ? What the fuck Michelle ? What do you want from me ? What else ? If it isn't what it looks like then what is it ? What DOES it not look like right now ? "

Michelle tried explaining but Jake stromed out of the place and headed to the very top of the school . The rooftop . 

" Jake ! Wait ! Oh my god . Do not feel bad right now . What you said to her was right . I can't believe someone can be so selfish and so self - centered at the same time without even considering your feelings ! I know you . I know how much you loved her . If I was in her place I couldn't even think of being so harsh to you . I would be there and care for you like a mother . I would support you like a father and listen to you like a best friend . I just feel like slapping the shit of of her so badly that i cannot even explain how frustra- " I was interrupted by Jake kissing me . For a second I didn't even realise what was happening . He pulled away and said " I was with the right person all along . I just didn't take the time to realise it . " 

" I am sorry but I just can't do this . If Michelle found out ? The whole school is already saying that me and Nate are dating . They will think that I am cheating on him with you now . I have already has enough rumours . No more . Please understand and plus , you're my best friend . Please go talk with Nate again . Don't let me come inbetween your friendship . " I said as i left him alone up there and headed to the next class . This was the WORST day ever for all of us .
