Athena Elle's POV
Everyone is having a fun time while we eat our dinner.
"Athena, apo, nasaan ba si Xanth? Kanina pa siya nawawala." Ani Lalai.
"Sige po hahanapin ko siya." Pagakasabi ko niyon ay sinimulan ko na ang paghahanap sa kaniya.
Paakyat na sana ako sa second floor kung nasaan ang mga guest rooms nang may marinig ako nagsalita.
"Kuya naman, ilang taon na 'yon... Bakit ba hindi mo na lang kalimutan 'yon?" That's tita Ellaine's voice, coming from the theater room next to the staircase.
"Because she cheated on you, just like what dad did." My father's voice is filled with anger. I suppose they are talking about tito.
Gusto ko pa sanang makinig kaso parang mali ang ginagawa ko kaya nagpatuloy na ako sa pag-akyat.
I saw Xanth in the room, continuously nodding his head as he listen to the music coming from his airpods.
"Ah-! What the-?" Anito habang hinihila ko ang kaniyang tenga.
"Mwo? (What?) Are you going to swear on me?" Banta ko rito.
"No, I'm so-ah!-rry Athena."
"Ano? Didn't I told you that I'm older than you? How could you address me by my name?" Galit na sambit ko rito at pinagpatuloy ang paghila sa kaniyang tenga.
"I speak-ah! English..."
"Pake ko? Na sa Pilipinas tayo, Filipino ka, so call me noona." Hinila ko ito palabas ng kwarto.
"Tss, kasasabi lang na nasa Pilipinas tapos magpapatawag ng noona?" Bulong nito na nasa likuran ko.
"Shh, shut up." Saway ko rito nang pababa na kami ng hagdan. Inalis niya ang kamay ko sa palapulsuhan niya at siya naman ang gumawa niyon sa akin. Ako naman ngayon ang nasa posisyon niya kanina.
I think he knew what was going on so he remained silent until we reached the dining area.
Mommy was there this time and they are debating whether tito Harris will stay here or in our nearest hotel.
Binitawan lang ako ni Xanth nang tawagin siya ni Lalai. I went to the living and sat on the couch beside kuya Xus who is busy with his phone.
I suddenly decided to check on my phone since I wasn't looking at it for the past hours.
1 missed call from Ate Rhian
Curious about why she's trying to call me, I called her back.
Ilang saglit lang at sinagot na niya ang tawag ko.
"Hi ate, I was just wondering why you called because I wasn't able to pick up your call."
"Ahh, sinusubukan kong tawagan si Ace kanina, but his phone was off."
"You want to speak to him? Wait..." Tatawagin ko na sana ang kuya ko kaso pinigilan niya ako.
"No, no, no. No need, I just wanna apologise for not being able to make it there and congratulate Ash for his shop, that's all."
"Apology accepted."
"Sige, yun lang naman ang sasabihin ko. Bye Athena."
"Bye, oh you should come visit us some time, I miss you ate."
"I guess I should hehe... Bye."
Our call ended. Is it just me or ate Rhian seems so awkward?
