Chapter 5

Ryujin's POV:

Tuesday.

Another Day. I sighed.

I was walking towards the faculty room in class hours. I was excused from my current class unfortunately because the Mr. Choi, our English Teacher requested me.

'Did i fail class?'

I thought to myself if i did because I'm pretty sure i didn't fail a single quiz.

'Is it because i always start with ' First of all' in every sentence i say?'

Although that didn't made me nervous tho. I am aware of me starting with that phrase like it's not my fault it became a habit of mine.

I just sighed. Whatever it is Ryujin you can deal with it.

I arrived at the faculty room opening the door and politely greeted the few teachers while walking towards Mr. Choi's desk.

"Good Morning Seonsaengnim" i said not too rude and not too nice but enough for him to notice as he turned his attention to me.

"Ah Ryujin you came on time" He said smiling warmly as always to me as i nodded with a little smile in return.

"Am i in trouble?" i bluntly asked to him staying calm but with a hint of curiosity. He looked quite amused at what i said as He slightly laughed.

"No Ryujin, I just wanted to tell you that you are actually doing well in my class and i know you're aware of your own phrase but it's okay you are comfortable with that" He says smiling at me and somehow i felt relieved that i wasn't failing after all.

"So i wanted to pair you with someone..."

He says looking at me with all of his seriousness for once.

I pursed my lips feeling a bit in disapproval by the thought that I'm being paired with someone.

"But... I think she's not-" and as if on cue the door was slowly opened which Mr. Choi immediately smiled looking at the person, "Ah there she is"

I turned around to see who exactly is my partner only to find out it was Chaeryeong smiling awkwardly at me.

'Oh i think i know where this is going'

i grinned as i turned around to face Mr. Choi.

'Ryeong are you failing english?'

"No" she whispered glaring at me as if she read my mind which i just laughed.

Mr. Choi cleared his throat making the two of us quiet as he began explaining, "You two will be paired up on a project despite the fact that the both of you are in different classes i think you two are good friends so you guys have time to do this. And because this is for Chaeryeong to make up for not passing her project before." He says looking at Chaeryeong who just awkwardly chuckled while i remained calm and unbothered.

"So here's what you're going to do" He began explaining again what our project is and when it's due. Either i was paying attention or not but i could sense Chaeryeong keep shooting daggers at me with her laugh-at-me-and-I'll-smack-you look.

After what seems to be like 20mins of Mr. Choi explaining the whole thing to us. He finally let the two of us go when the bell rang.

I looked at Chaeryeong who was staring. More like glaring at me because i laughed at her earlier.

I wanted to say something but she cut me off, "No i didn't forget to bring my project before but i totally forgot to do it i mean- my dog ate it." She said with a serious look as i raised a brow.
