Silently Watching You - Ryeji

Chapter 7

Ryujin's POV:

We're currently at the dining table right now since the three of us haven't eaten yet since earlier. We ate dinner together silently.

Well scratch that i ate silently while the two were casually talking about life. I looked at the two talking clearly immersed by their conversation as i turned my gaze towards the other girl.

I examined her features as she quite taller than me... She has brown hair as it slowly turned to ash brown at the end and she has bangs. Yes i won't forget about the bangs. She literally has a perfect face and body to be a model at an age of hers.

I'm quite fascinated... Hmm...

I went back to focus on my food when my Dad called me.

"Ryujin why aren't you talking?" He asked curiously as he looks at me same with the other girl.

"Unnie i won't bite" She smiles cheerfully.

I wonder what she eats and drinks everyday to get her so energized...

I sighed as i didn't want them to wait for my answer and i don't want to be rude in front of my Dad.

"Nothing. I was just listening you two can go on" i said as i gestured them to continue which they just chuckled.

"Ryujin-unnie you're too cold but cool at the same time" She says smiling though it wasn't fake she honestly said it. I'll take that as a compliment.

"And you're the opposite, you're warmer and more energized than the sun Yuna" as she giggles.

"You two should get along since Yuna will be spending a lot of time here with us" Dad says. I think  *Spending her life with us* is the correct one Dad.

Earlier

"Ryujin this is Yuna, My Brother's Daughter" Dad says as he introduced Yuna to me, "Yuna this is my Daughter, Ryujin and she will be your sister" He added as i saw Yuna smiled widely. God she's so energized...

But wait. Did i hear that right?

"What do you mean Dad?" i asked him slightly confused as he nervously scratch his nape, "Yuna will be staying with us and she will be your younger sister" He said.

I gave him an 'Explain' look as he looked at me with sadness mouthing an 'Something Happened'.

I nodded understanding the situation as i reached out my hand for a handshake.

"Nice to meet you Yuna" I said as she reaches my hand as we shake hands, "Nice to meet you too Unnie!" She smiled.

You're still smiling despite the situation  you're having right now... You're strong...

Present

I'm currently laying on my bed struggling to sleep again. My mind is empty, my eyes are almost falling yet i can't bring myself to sleep.

Sigh.

Dad explained to me what happened and even asked me if I'm okay with Yuna as my Sister. Well at first i didn't but i took it back when i remembered we have the same situation but hers is worst.

It was hard not to agree since she already had no where to go and Dad might be tired of my face. Just kidding.

I still have a little bit of kindness in me so i agreed in the end.

Good thing we had two guest rooms making the other one her own. I think she's sleeping already after i helped her unpacking her things.

I stared at her earlier and noticed she frowned while spacing out. Maybe thinking about her parents...

"Hey it's okay... Me and Dad are here for you... I'll be here for you as your Unnie..."

I muttered that words to her as came back to her happy self responding a 'thank you
' to me and even hugged me.

For once i lowered my guard down to her even when i just met her just because she's my sister now.

Ah Shin Ryujin... Don't let them break your walls that easy...

I slowly closed my eyes feeling more sleepy now as i tried to sleep.

Knock. Knock.

Someone knocked on my door it's either Dad or Yuna or a Serial killer... Who knows?

"Come in" I responded still laying on my bed not having any energy to get up. The door slowly opened revealing a head slowly peeking as well.

I grown confused as i looked at Yuna who just peeked her head from the door not coming in.

"Goodnight Unnie!" She cheerfully says as she slowly closed the door leaving me confused.

Did she peeked her head just to say goodnight to me?

Huh Shin Yuna you're quite amusingly cute.

"Goodnight Yuna" I said even when she's not here as i yawned slowly drifting off to sleep.

Maybe my life now is not that bad...
