Chapter 1: Broken Chances

It was the morning of Dani and Kim's graduation. The two sisters' finally made it through High School. Dani and Kim woke to a knocking at their door.
Dani got out of bed, her slim 5'7'' body stopped infront of the mirror followed by a groan. Her face was a mess, her long brown hair piled in knocks, and her make-up from the night before was smudged around her bright blue eyes. The knocking at the door came again.
"Dani! Go answer the door!" Kim yelled.
"Okay! Just give me a second," Dani said.
Dani pulled on some gym shorts and a tight tank top that made her boobs look a little bigger. She walked over to the door and was surprised at who she saw standing outside.
Her exboyfriend from almost three years ago. His name was Douglas, he was 5'2'' Justin Bieber flippy hair skinny twat.
"What do you want, Doug?" Dani sighed.
"I wanted to talk. To see if you wanted to get back together with me." Douglas explained.
"First, my mother doesn't approve of you. Second, I don't like you that way, and third, I have a boyfriend that I'm really happy with."
"Well, you're very straight to the point. I didn't know you had a boyfriend," he said, sadly.
"Yeah, he should be on his way over now. So you should probably leave." Dani said.
"Okay, bye." Doug started, leaving. Right when Doug was getting into his car, Dani's boyfriend, Matt, pulled up in his truck.
Dani's current boyfriend, Matt, is 6'1'', has short shaggy brown hair and is on the chubby side. He got out of his truck and walked over to Douglas.
"Who are you?" Matt asked.
"My name is Douglas. I'm one of Dani's ex-boyfriends." He said, nervously.
"Why are you here?" Matt asked.
"Well, I remembered June 18th is Dani's birthday and came to congradulate her for turning 18 and graduating." Doug said quickly.
"Okay, well be on your way now." Matt said as he punched Doug in the face.
Doug got in his car and drove off quickly. Dani went inside followed by Matt. She went and woke Kim up.
"So who was at the door? Wait, let me guess, Matt." Kim said, sarcastically.
"Well, Happy Birthday to you too, sis. But it wasn't Matt, but Matt is here." Dani said, walking away.
Kimberly ran after her, curiously. "What do you mean ? Who was it?"
"It was Douglas." Dani said.
Kimberly just stood there, frozen, her slim curvy body looking like a statue, her short burgandy hair falling in front of her hazel eyes, "What did he want?" She asked, moving her hair.
"He wanted to get back with me. But then ran away like a scared puppy when Matt punched him. Which I'm not happy about." Dani said.
Kim laughed, "Sorry. Why did Matt punch him?"
"I don't know . . . But I'm mad." Dani said
Dani and Kim walked into the kitchen where Matt was sitting and eating.
"She's mad at you," Kim said to Matt.
"Why?" Matt asked.
Kim made a punching gesture and Matt shook his head.
"You are really mad at me for punching Doug?" Matt asked.
"Not mad. I'm pissed. Come on, it's my birthday. You had to punch him for no reason? That's really rude and I'm sick of your actions. You need to learn how to grow up, Matthew. Now. . I'm going to get ready, I'll see you at the field." Dani said, walking off.
Matt got in his truck and raced off, leaving skid marks. Dani went to her closet and grabbed her graduation dress. Her dress was black lace, tight on top, loose on bottom with a brown belt in the middle. She laid it down on her bed, plugged her curling iron in and went to do her make-up. She did simple make-up ; mascara, eyeliner, and lipstick. She curled her hair into tight, bouncy curls and slipped on her dress. Kimberlyy wore a tight blue sparkly dress, her hair was straight and Dani did her make-up the same as hers.
They both got into Dani's jeep and went to the football field. Dani went and met up with her friends ; Brooke, Kayla, Jupiter, and Larissa. Dani saw Matt and went to go see him.
"Hey babe!" Dani said.
"Hey, we need to talk." Matt said.
"About what?" Dani said, worried.
"I was thinking about what you said and I think we should take a break. Maybe see other people." Matt explained.
"Okay." Dani said, holding back tears and walking over to Kim.
Dani just hugged Kim, then explained what happened. Kim walked over to Matt and smacked him, then walked away.
Kim went and made a phone call to one of Dani's old friends.
"Hello?" The boy asked.
"Hi, yes. Is this Joseph? This is Dani's sister Kimberly." He asked.
"Well, Dani's boyfriend just broke up with her and I was wondering if you'd come to our graduation?" Kim said.
"I'm actually on my with your boyfriend, Luke, right now." Joe said.
"Perfect. Thank you." Kim said and hung up.
Joe is an 18 year old who is 5'9'' with short brown hair. His eyes are dark brown and he is very muscular. Luke is also 18 , he is 5'8'', very slim, and has shaggy dirty blonde hair.
The ceremony began before the boys got there. The boys got there right on time though. The girls were just getting called up to get their diplomas. When Dani saw Joe walking, she didn't think it was actually him and just shook it off.
The ceremony ended quickly. Everybody left except for Dani. She stayed in her seat and Joe walked up.
"You're actually here." Dani said.
"Yup, I am. Do you wanna give me a ride home? Luke kind of left with Kim?"Joe said.
"Yeah, sure." Dani said, standing.
"Just a warning, it's really far away. So you might have to stay the night." Joe explained.
"Okay, I'll have Kim and Luke meet me there so we can leave for our Disney trip from there." Dani said.
"Disney trip?" Joe asked
"I'll explain in the car." Dani said
Dani and Joe walked over to her jeep. Joe gave her a weird look as if she would drive a jeep. Dani put her Disney Princess CD in and played it.
Joe shook his head. "Of course."
"Yeah, so I've been planning a Disney trip since like last year. It was going to be Matt, Kim, Luke and I. But now it's Kim, Luke and I. But I planned it for a graduation trip for all of us. Because you know I love Disney. But yeah." Dani explained.
"Oh sounds fun. Not to sound weird or creepy, but do you think I could take Matts place?" Joe asked.
"Yeah that sounds great!" Dani said excitedly.
"Okay, that my house right there." Joe said.
Dani pulled into the drive-way and they went inside. They argued about who was going to sleep in Joe's bed. Dani won of course.
"Well I'll see you in the morning Joseph. Have a good night sleep on the couch." Dani teased.
"You better not do anything to my bed or my room. But goodnight." Joe teased back.
Dani curled up in a ball and turned the lamp off. She fell asleep within five minutes.
Joe on the other hand took an hour to fall asleep on his rock hard couch.
