"Do you really work?" She asked.

He gave her a side look to catch the mischief she was again pulling on him, "What?"

"Where do you work?" Her rather straight question made him look back at the road into thinking.

"I have my own company", his words retorted at her bewildering questions.

"Is it going in loss?" She again raised a question to his surprise.

"What are you even speaking?" He spoke referring to his concern of her losing her sanity this time to ask such stupid things.

"You had literally spent so much time to think about what to do for me, you really have to be free to think about it." Her face broke into a laugh seeing his baffled expressions.

"And you really know how to be angry one minute but crack a joke the next second", he was getting good at these comebacks and a lot more loving to joke around with her.

She was loving how comfortable she was getting with him and needn't worry about small little hurts, "Better concentrate on driving", she shushed him.

Her radiating face made him feel warm at his heart and those mysterious eyes were luring him to her involuntarily. "Oh yeah. I have just started learning how to drive so I better concentrate on this", he said with his lips pursed together to hide the grin.

She looked at him scared this time for her life, "What?"

"Haha. Only you're the not the one who can joke." He smiled at her innocence but stopped teasing her more before she'd burst on him again.

Parking the car, they moved inside the beach. The usually crowded beach that used to suffocate them earlier now felt relieving and calming their chaotic heart. For now, there was someone with whom they could be with than feeling lost all alone.

How strange is that, some people just come in your life and take away your loneliness you have to lived for years, with only their presence.

The sky was gradually liting up into yellow tints as they walked towards their spot. Their face glowed with a new sense of belonging the sun was greeting them with.

"Ram, do you mind if we walk?" He bobbed his head in return to her.

His hands shoved in his trousers' pocket as they walked side by side. He chuckled seeing people strolling around comfortably with their people hand in hand, in contrast reflecting how awkward he is even at talking with people.

He stopped and turned towards her with his hand held out, "Do you want to hold my hand?"

She blinked her eyes cluelessly at him, wondering was he thinking the same seeing the people as she was.

"Why, what happened?" Curiously she asked him, hoping for the same.

"It's better to be with someone than alone", he earnestly spoke to her as his eyes held her for the moment, "but I don't want you to be uncomfortable even".

Her intense gaze was withering him to her numbness, making it unbearable for him to look at her anymore. He instead started walking again and hoping she follows him after unintentionally he made things awkward.

To his surprise, her soft palm pushes past his hands and held his in its delicate hold making his body stiff in response. His eyes followed the path from his hand to her eyes, it sparkled in ecstasy to have her beside him.

Holding each other's hand, they started walking down the horizon as the sun started glowing in praise of this newfound bond. The half-crescent moon twinkled in adoration seeing their friendship.
