Ram smiled as the car hit the road and chased the night traffic. Mumbai and its nightlife, he sighed. He has always seen people partying and going out with friends only to return back half passed out in the wee hours.
On the other hand, he has never been that person but the one who tirelessly worked hard till his body was dead tired of sleep to instantly engulf him. All he wanted is to prove himself and moreover, his work filled the cracks of his aloofness from this world.
However, now things seem different. He feels there is a change, in him and in his life. Something to finally look forward to and something too beautiful to live with.
A burden which has long-lived with his fears is now finally off his shoulders for him to happy dance.
Your fears only liberate you when you let them.
She knows who he is or at least a part of him for now. He chuckled playfully into his thoughts remembering how startled she was after knowing his real identity.
"Priya, what are you cooking?" Ram asked as he wandered around her in the kitchen like a kid.
Priya had asked Ram to stay back for dinner as for the first time he was at her place and also because of the earlier taunt she got from him. But the real truth was that she liked his company so wanted him to stay back a little more.
"Ram, stop moving around me and go sit in the hall", she scolded him as she moved towards the fridge to take out veggies and he followed her.
It was a simple 2bhk flat she had bought after working hard for a living. Her parents' had offered to help but she had strictly denied and worked day and night to earn enough for herself to find a decent place. It wasn't in one of the posh locality but she had surely decorated it like a beautiful cosy place for herself.
"Arey, I'll get bored sitting there", he chided like a child again.
"Ofo, then stop moving around me. Stand in a corner", she rebuked but smiled how innocently he went and stood quietly in the corner as she continued cooking.
Only two minutes of his silence as another question came up to his mind "Do you really cook on your own every day? It smells so good", he cutely asked her as his nostrils flared by the delicious aroma of the food.
She chuckled at his question, "Ram I live alone so my mom taught me how to cook well. It's her skills." Remembering her family made her a little sad, it's been long since she has met them. She made a mental note to take an off and visit her family. She missed them and her loud mother as well, she giggled.
"Oh, that's nice. I don't even know how to boil water", he laughed as he tossed a peanut in the air and rolled it inside his mouth.
"How many servants do you have?" She questioned him and started kneading the dough.
"To say enough for me to not even move for anything", he casually spoke stating the obvious.
She looked at him stunned, "How rich are you even?"
He laughed immediately realising where the conversation is heading and he is soon to give her a shock, "Haha, you don't who I'm right?"
"What", she rolled her eyes at his puzzling questions.
"Do you know who Ram Kapoor is?" He looked keenly at her as she stopped for a minute and scrunched her eyes into deep thinking.
"Yeah, one of the leading businessman. I have heard of him a lot", she said remembering how during her graduation days there was an uproar of a young lad making it big in a short time. Sometimes she still reads his articles and admired the zeal for his work that man had.
