Harry's POV
Did that... really just happen though? I've never kissed anyone before and I still didn't know how to feel so me and Louis just sort of stood there awkwardly for the rest of the practise, sometimes glancing over at eachother and making eye contact, both of our cheeks sort of red even though I had no idea why because like I said before, we're just friends.
For now.
No, just friends.
But in my mind, I wanted to be more.
December 21, 2008 ~ Harry's POV
After a few more months of practising the show, it was finally time to perform it. Over that time, me, Louis, Niall and Eleanor also became closer too which is good because I felt like I had friends other than the old ladies at the bakery.
I was so excited to finally be performing on the stage again. The last time I did this I was only about 6 years old and now I'm 14 so it is pretty nerve-wracking, but I know the audience is going to love the show. Especially my mum.
Even though I had to perform 'that' scene in front of her...
"Everyone get their costumes ready for the show" the director announced. We all ran to the dressing rooms behind the stage, getting prepared for the final practise.
I saw louis taking off his tshirt to put on his costume and I tried my best not to look but I couldn't help it..
"Oi!" Louis giggled, realising I was staring at him. I looked away, smiling but also really flustered.
"Sorry Lou, I won't look anymore!" I responded, also giggling a bit to hide my embarrassment.
Louis looked really good in the white button up t-shirt. He looked good wearing anything.
Although, he looked better wearing nothing.
Wait, what am I saying?? Harry, snap out of it, weirdo.
I had a whole conversation with myself in my head, and after a few minutes I realised everyone was already ready so I stopped having a weird conversation with myself and actually payed attention to the show.
An hour later, still Harry's POV
Finally we were ready to perform it on the stage. I peeked outside of the curtain, seeing the huge crowd in front of it. It was hard to see but I swear I saw my mother somewhere in the front row, but I don't think she saw me peeking my head out because she was too busy smiling at her phone for some reason.
The lights turned off and the curtains opened, signalling that the show was about to start. Niall entered the stage first, a spotlight shining onto him as he greeted the audience.
A bit later into the show, it was the kiss scene. I was more comfortable with Lou now but the fact we had to do in front of a big audience, especially in front of both of our parents terrified me. But it was the best part so I just had to brave it.
"Good luck mate" Niall said, putting a hand on my shoulder and winking at me a bit. I just rolled my eyes and got ready to go back onto the stage, already knowing that once we got back behind the curtain they would all be screaming at us like some crazy fangirls. It wasn't that big of a deal, but he thought it was for some reason.
I stepped out onto the stage, saying a few lines before Louis came on at the other side. As we got closer, I remembered I had one more line to say but had to pause for a second to remember it because my heart was beating so fast and my head was racing.
'Pull yourself together Harry!' I was telling myself, but nobody heard it thankfully.
Then he looked at me right in my eyes, and I looked right back. His eyes looked even more beautiful with the spotlight shining directly at him, they looked exactly like the night sky.
At that time, I forgot completely about the audience. I just cared about the fact Louis was right in front of me and he was about to kiss me and I was making it into such a big deal and I don't know why because it was fine in the practise.
It's just a show.
And finally, he put his hands on my waist, as he looked down to my lips and kissed me.
It was really quick because I pulled away after a second, chickening out because of the huge audience. As the show ended and the curtains closed I heard loads of applause and I swear I saw my mother smiling just as I looked at the audience.
After we went backstage, as I predicted, Niall and Eleanor were jumping around, chanting something about Larry. Who is Larry? I'm surprised they weren't saying anything about me and Louis' scene.
After a while, when we were all back in our normal clothes, Louis came up to me and grabbed my shoulder from behind, startling me a bit.
"Hey harry, it's my birthday in 3 days." he whispered somewhat loudly in my ear which sent a shiver up my spine.
"Really? I need to get you a present then!" I replied
"You're already enough of a present for me, Harry" Louis whispered, this time a bit quieter.
We both laughed a bit, now facing eachother.
But seriously, I needed to get something for Louis. He was one of my closest friends so it needed to be something special. Maybe I should ask Niall and Eleanor for help?
When everyone got back home, it was really late at night but I decided to message Niall and Eleanor anyway, adding them to a groupchat called 'LOUIS BIRTHDAY IDEAS🥰'
Harry: hey guys, we need to find a good present for Louis. Any ideas?? -H xx
To my surprise, Niall replied straight away.
Niall: You could get him... a wedding ring ;))
I raised my eyebrow reading Niall's text. Wedding ring?? He wasn't even my boyfriend and he wants me to propose? Does he even know that?
Harry: I don't like him in that way! And he isn't my boyfriend!
Niall: mate I was being sarcastic. But don't lie, we all know you have a huge crush on him. ;)
The winky face he kept doing really annoyed me but also made me laugh. I felt my cheeks getting hot, probably going red. I don't know why because what he was saying isn't true. I don't like him like that.
He's just a friend...
...right?
