Harry's POV

As the airport instructor was telling everyone what to do in a crash landing and stuff like that, which I highly doubted was going to happen but we did the demonstration anyway and listened carefully.

The flight attendant walked back after finishing her speech, then the plane was making really loud noises, signalling it was going to start.

I didn't really deal well with loud noises though so I just covered my ears and looked at Louis for comfort because he always seemed to cheer me up no matter what the situation.

"It's okay Harry" he comforted me, although I could barely hear him over the loud noises of the plane, and suddenly I felt it taking off and lifting off the ground.

I had never been on a plane before so it was pretty terrifying, but as long as Louis was beside me I knew I would be okay.

I saw a message pop up on my phone.

Niall: Have fun Harry!! Have you left yet?

Harry: yeah we have, we're in the plane right now

I turned my phone off to see Louis looking at me.

"You planned birthday ideas with Niall and Eleanor??" he asked, staring deeply into my eyes.

"Yeah" I responded, then we both giggled a bit at it.

Since the plane ride was about 20 hours long, which was going to be really really tiring, we brought an iPad to watch Netflix from which would entertain us for a while.

A few minutes into the movie, I started to get really tired so I pulled a pillow out from my bag and just lay against the side of the chair, even though it was really uncomfortable.

"This seat isn't comfortable" I complained.

Louis softy grabbed my head and pulled it down to his lap so I was laying on him.

"That better?" he asked.

"Yeah"

I couldn't remember anything from the next few hours as I fell asleep eventually, but I woke up to the plane going at a really high speed forward which scared me for a bit because I thought we were going to crash but we didn't.

I looked up from Louis' lap to see him sleeping too and I couldn't help staring at him.

To pass some time, I decided to plug in my earphones and listen to music. As I got up, I could feel Lou's gentle breath against my face for a second and if I leaned in close enough, I could hear him snoring slightly which I thought was adorable.

So far, about 10 hours had passed which meant about 10 hours more until we actually got there, so I decided to call my mum.

"Hey mum, we're about 10 hours away now" I said when she finally answered the call.

"Oh that's nice. How is Louis?" she replied, but it was hard to hear her with a baby screaming behind me.

"He's sleeping" I whispered, trying not to wake him up.

"Okay. I hope you have a great time Harry!" my mother stated, then she ended the call before I could say thank you.

I'm surprised Louis was still sleeping because of the amount of noise behind us. I really wanted to yell at that baby to shut up but it was only a baby so I couldn't do that.

I decided to message Niall and Eleanor instead, just trying to find ways to pass time.

Harry: Hey guys, I'm super bored -.-

Niall: Hey Harry. Why don't you plan some things that you're going to do in W- I mean... the place you're going to.

I'm pretty sure Niall thought that Louis was awake and watching my phone so he didn't want to give away the surprise

Harry: Is there any places there that you suggest going to??

Eleanor: Hey guys! I just woke up, sorry about that😌

Niall: Hey Eleanor. Also, there's a few places near the hotel you're staying at which look pretty cool.

Harry: Ooo okay, I'll check them out.

Eleanor: Harry, are you still doing what you said you were going to do yesterday?

Harry: Uhmm.. I don't know. I'm scared to do that.

Eleanor: I'm sure he will say yes!!

Suddenly I could feel Louis' breath from beside me.

"Say yes to what?" he said curiously.

I shut off my phone quickly so he couldn't see any of the messages. "Uhmmm.. Nothing!!"

He just looked at me, his eyebrow raised in confusion and I awkwardly smiled at him.

I checked the time to see how long was left.

"5 hours left.." I murmured, taking a deep breath and feeling sort of scared because of what Eleanor reminded me of.

"Oh okay" Louis answered, then looked out of the small window so he was facing away from me which was good because then I could message people without him seeing.

Harry: I'm really scared to do it, how do you think I should ask?

Niall: Just be straightforward, it isn't hard.

Eleanor: Gayforward*

I laughed at her message.

Eleanor: Don't listen to Niall, I think you should make it special instead of just being straight up.

Niall: GAY up*

Harry: But... I don't know if.. this is so hard.

Eleanor: it's okay Harry, just do what you feel comfortable with and don't force yourself into anything.

Harry: Thanks El :)

I turned my phone off, then saw that Louis was still looking out the window so I just lay on his shoulder and I think it startled him a bit because he flinched and turned around.

"Do you boys want anything to drink?" One of the flight attendants came up to us, offering a few different drinks.

"I'll have a glass of water please" I replied to her, grabbing a glass from the tray she was holding out, and Louis took a carton of orange juice.

The next few hours felt like forever, but then I checked the time on my phone.

There were only 15 minutes left until we got there.

"Harry, where are we? It's hard to tell from up here" he asked, his voice deep and raspy because he just woke up from another nap.

"Can't tell you that Lou" I answered, drinking the final drops of water from the glass I grabbed a few hours ago.

Then an announcement was made over the speaker:

"Everyone get ready for landing, we'll be there in approximately 10 minutes time." the flight attendant announced.

There was a big grin on my face, I couldn't wait for us to arrive there so Louis could see what his big suprise was. I knew he would love it.
