Clone Gunners were the 923rd's heavy weapon specialists. Typically called "Hellbringers" by the rest of the 923rd, everyone of their members had a design on their helmets in order to further bring home the point that the enemy's death was soon to come when they arrived. Each member of the 923rd's Clone Gunners were also equipped with a Z6-Rotary Cannon so that they can join in on the action if they are unable to provide assistance due to a damaged heavy weapon or they were suddenly attacked by the enemy, though in that case some of the Gunners were known to just activate one of their Thermal Detonators and blowing up both them and their attacker. During the Second Battle of Umbara the 923rd's Gunners would be seen bombarding the planet from both orbit and the ground using AV-7 Antivehicle Cannons, while some would enter sombat on foot once their AT-TEs were destroyed by enemy fire.
