It took her about an hour but Mrs Tozier explained what happened and that she had broken up with Steven.

"Wow."

"I know."

"Mom what happened to Eddie last night."

"I don't know. "

" Oh god I have to make sure he's ok. "

"Rich why are you so worried about Eddie your the one who is hurt."

Richie sat there silent.
He didn't know what to say.

Was it the right time to tell her or should he just lie.

"Mom the reason I'm worried about him is."

"I love him I love Eddie kasprack"Richie said hesitantly.

" Finally."

Mrs Tozier gave Richie a big hug.

" Your ok with it."

" Rich of course I'm ok with it I'm just glad you didn't end up with Stan or something."

Richie laughed and hugged his Mom.

" Now go make sure Eddie's ok."

"Huh."

"Go!

Richie smiled and jumped out of the car.

He ran to Eddie's house.

*Knock knock*

Eddie opened the door.

"Oh my God Rich your alive" Eddie yelled throwing himself on Richie.

" Yeah I'm alive but I came here to make sure your ok."

" I'm fine I was just scared."

" Me to Ed's."

" I would say come in but my Moms home."

"That's ok Eddie do you wanna maybe grab something to eat."

" Like a date"Eddie smiled.

" Yeah like a date."

" Ok let me get my shoes on."

Once Eddie got his shoes on Richie took his hand and led him to the fanciest restaurant in town.

"Rich you want to go hear."

"Yes I do."

" Rich this is the most expansive restaurant in town."

" Oh I know Eduardo."

" Rich I don't want to sound mean but your broke."

" I saved up enough to take you somewhere nice"Richie smiled.

They walked into the restaurant.

" Oh why hello there can we have your finest table for two please."

The waiter scoffed and looked Richie up and down.

" Ok that will be 50 dollars."

" Well never mind then lets go to MacDonald's Ed's."

Eddie smiled.

They arrived at MacDonald's and took a seat they ordered some fries and one milkshake to share.

And the best thing is that all of it costed 10 dollars.

Richie watched Eddie slurp the strawberry milkshake.

"What are you looking at."

"Nothing."

"Come on Rich tell me,do I have something on my face"Eddie said accidentally wiping wiped cream on his cheek.

" No I'm just looking at you."

"That's really creepy."

"Stop trying to make it weird I was just being nice."

" Well you being nice is kinda creeping me out."

Richie grabbed Eddie's face and kissed him.

Eddie pulled away.
"Rich what if people see."

"Who gives a shit."

"Ok then."
