NATHAN POV

"Dude, what's up with you tonight?"

Mike wouldn't stop going on about the fact that I seemed off lately. He thought it was about some girl or something. It wasn't. I was just bored of this life. Everything was so simple and straightforward. Everything had already been set out for me and there was no excitement anymore. I don't know if it was messed up, but I wanted the thrill of uncertainty. I wanted to remember what it felt like when I actually won something in life and was caught off guard. But now I was so used to getting everything I didn't get that feeling anymore.

"Come on man. We've got beer and a house to ourselves. Chill out!"

I laughed slightly and nodded my head in agreement, before taking a can of beer from him. I needed a distraction anyway.

Suddenly we all heard a knock at the door and I stood up to go and answer it.

"Who the hell is that?"

I wasn't expecting anyone, everyone I'd invited was already here. God the last thing I needed was for a load of strangers to bombard my house, if Demi put anything on her social media I would literally kill her.

I looked back to the group, seeing Demi's suspicious face. It was always that girl!

"I may have invited Lexi."

I groaned and angrily furrowed my brows.

"What the fuck Demi!"

I fucking hated Lexi with a passion. She was some bitch in our year, she was all over me but I wasn't in to it. She was totally fake and one of the nastiest people I knew. She was super bitchy about all the other kids in our school and a massive gossip. It had been obvious for a while that she liked me but I never returned the hints. I may have hated her but I wasn't going to lead her on, that was just cruel.

I angrily went over to open the door, hearing the others snigger behind me.

"Hia!!!!!"

The fake blonde screeched and jumped into my arms so she could pull me into a hug. A hug that ended in seconds when I pushed her away from me.

I didn't greet her but headed back into the room where the others were. I could here the clash of heels against the floor behind me, meaning that Lexi followed me. That sound would be the cause of my nightmares tonight.

I didn't have anything against the way she dressed or acted. In my opinion, a girl should be able to wear and do whatever the fuck she wanted. I had a problem with her personality, not her clothes and sex life.

I heard a few of the girls squeel as they rushed up to hug Lexi. I only gave Demi a dark glare and sat back down in my seat.

"Oh look, vodka, my fave..."

Lexi spoke, whispering the last line in my ear while attempting to be sexy. She wasn't. She only succeded in making me cringe more than I already was. The whole flirtatious and barbie doll vibe never succeeded in turning me on. It may have worked on other guys but not me.

Everything about the girl screamed desperate. All of her sexual mannerisms and movements down to her outfit. She wore strappy heels and a skirt so short that I was surprised how she felt comfortable to sit down without fear of it riding up. I wasn't judging, she looked good but it just wasn't my thing. Yet it was still clear she'd gotten all dressed up to catch my attention. I just didn't like Lexi, at all. But she clearly was incapable of picking up on those evident signals or maybe she had but just hoped differently. Still, she was not going to change my mind.
