NATHAN POV

"I can't believe that you actually managed to convince me to come to this thing."

I moaned to Mike who had successfully managed to drag me along to this party with him.

"This thing is gunna lighten you up a bit.... or at least I hope it will."

I rolled my eyes and shoved my hands deep into the pockets of my jeans.

"Seriously man! You've been so tense lately, we just need to get you back in the game!"

Mike's answer to everything was to have sex or to party. My answer to everything was to simply avoid it all and allow it to build up. In the long term that probably wasn't healthy though so I suppose trying out Mike's so called 'methods' wouldn't hurt.

We stepped inside and since Mike already knew a load of the people here I just awkwardly stood behind him, instead looking around the house. It was jam packed with people - most of them were already high or drunk (or both).

"Hey Nathan, wanna play beer pong?"

Mike shouted over the loud music in my direction.

"Nah, I'm gunna look around."

I shook my head and turned away, heading off to find somewhere that was even the slightest bit quieter than this.

Only about fifteen minutes later had I realised that getting peace and quiet here obviously wasn't possible. To be honest, I don't know why I ever thought it would be. Everywhere in the place was packed with nosiy and sweaty bodies, all dancing and drinking to a hammering beat. Soon enough I was reminded why I hated parties so damn much.

Then all of a sudden a certain feeling of bordem was lifted from my shoulders when I saw her. Sam.

She was over in the corner with some guy. That same guy that I'd seen so often around her house.

I focused my attention on them and soon it became apparent to me that they were having some sort of argument. And he looked angry. Very angry.

Just when it looked as though things were about to get ugly between the pair she pulled away and walked off in the other direction.

I bounced off of the corner that I had been leaning on and followed her to wherever she was going. I knew that I wanted to talk to her. I just didn't know what about yet. Here's hoping I'd get a surge of inspiration when I became face to face with her.

I followed her around a corner to see she was already talking to some other guy. I'm pretty sure it was the guy who was hosting the party.

I watched the two talk, slightly disappointed that I hadn't gotten to her first. I stayed hidden from their view as the guy passed Sam a drink. She chugged it down eagerly, tossing the empty cup behind her. Reckless.

She was wearing something so revealing that it was impossible for anyone attracted to her not to stare. Infact, I almost felt too guilty to look at her. That dress made her seem so tempting but also vulnerable to the gazes of horny men. One look at her was an instant turn on. But it wasn't the tight, short dress or the pretty make-up that did it for me. It was simply her. She managed to grab my attention without even glancing in my direction, it was practically witch craft in a way I suppose.

They moved away from the drinks and deeper into the sea of dancing bodies to join in too. It soon became clear to me that they weren't planning on leaving any time soon, so I took my chance to get my own drink.

I picked up a beer can and opened it straight away, not bothering to pour it's contense into one of those flimsy plastic cups that everyone was clutching. Drinking cheap alcohol oit of an 'instagramable' cup didn't make it any more classy.
