SAM POV

Eli got pissed last night. If anything he got worse after the drugs. So in turn I had gathered a rather large sum or gnarly bruises and cuts that were littered across my body. All of them hurt yet none of them had successfully been concealed. Or at least, not the ones on my face. The worst were my ribs that burned every time I accidentally brushed against them. They were most certainly injured badly but there was nothing I could do about it anyway.

I'd worn long sleeves and jeans so those on my arms and the majority of my body weren't visible but my face was another story. Completely bruised and battered. No matter how many layers of cheap make-up I'd piled on, nothing worked. The marks just radiated an ugly green purple colour from underneath the foundation and concealer.

I suppose it didn't matter anyway. The teachers didn't give a fuck and it wasn't like I had anyone in school to ask questions. It would be fine.

Infact my bruises actually went completely unnoticed until it came to walking home from school. I was heading back to my place, figuring that Eli could do with having a night to cool off, when a car pulled up next to me on the sidewalk.

I turned my head to see Nathan grinning at me from behind the wheel. I tightly smiled back before turning away and continuing to walk, hopfull that ge would now leave me alone. Boy was I wrong.

"Hey wait!"

Nathan shouted to me from his car.

But of course I completely ignored him and carried on walking, if anything quickening my pace. Perhaps if I gave him absolutely no attention whatsoever he would fuck off and leave me the hell alone! The last thing I needed was him to start digging and get involved with my life. Eli hated extra attention, especially the kind that I felt Nathan would give him.

Just when I felt as though my not so subtle stalker had given up, from the corner of ny eye I saw his car. He was matching my pace as I walked and he drove. Wow this guy was persistent.....

"Sam, can we talk?"

No.

"Go away Nathan!"

I shouted back rather nastily. I hoped that if I came across as some sort of mega bitch that he would be put off and just not want to have any contact with me. But again, it just spurred him on more.

"Come on! Just let me give you a lift, we are literally going to the same place anyway."

I shook my head and picked up my pace a little more, surely he would get fed up and go away like any normal human being.

"I'm not leaving until you get in the car Sammmmmmm...."

He purposefully drew out the m in my name, making his proposal sound even more silly and childish.

"No!"

I shouted back and was actually pleased with my effort when I could no longer see his car in my peripheral vision. Great, he finally left.

Only that's not what had happened.

I heard the slam of a door and turned around abruptly, instantly seeing Nathan's parked car as he jogged towards me.

I frowned, shocked that he was willing to go through this much effort just to give me a lift.

"Nathan just leave me alone!"

I said once he and I were standing about a metre apart from each other.

"Look Sam, I just wanna take you home. After what happened to you the other night I wouldn't feel okay with myself if I just let you walk home like this."
