i've had this planned for a while, ever since i told Claire (my best friend , i love her she's my inspo to either make books happy or sad <3 all depends on if she answers my calls, she's on thin ice rn) that I was writing this book

AMELIA ARRIVES AT her mothers house a smile gracing her face as she knocks on the door

Her mother lived fairly close to where Millie and Nat live (a/n i'm not a creep idk where they live so therefore they live near her mother, stORY PURPOSE)

it wasn't long until her mother opens the door and pulls her into a tight hug, "Mama" Amelia mumbles happily as she hugs her mother tightly, "My sweet Mia." Her mother mumbles against her daughters head as she hugs her daughter as if it's the last time she's going to see her

Once the two finished hugging, Natalia, Amelias mother, sat her daughter down for the news "What was so important that you stole me away from the Arts Theatre?" Mia teases lightly

"There's no easy way to tell you this..."Natalia starts off sadly, Mia stares at her mother in confusion "I have lung cancer... and it's too far into cure." Her mother says after a moment of silence

Amelia stares at her mother in shock, it was clear she was trying to hold back tears.

"How.. how much longer?" Amelia asks quietly, her mother sighs "I have a month." Her mother says regretfully, "and... how long have you known?" Amelia hesitatingly asks

"4 months.." Her mother informs her, sadness coating her voice, Amelia nods as she sniffles lightly "Can... Can i go take a walk?" She asks her mother softly, who nods

Amelia mumbles an 'I'll be back, I love you, so much' and walks out the door.

Amelia had no idea how to fucking deal with this.

AMELIA HAD BEEN god for however many hours and had yet to answer her mother's calls, though it had more to do with the fact her phone died.

So her mother did the one thing she could do, call Millie.

Which has lead to Millie and Amelia sitting together on a park bench where they always use to hang out at 2am.

"Mia, your moms really worried." Millie says softly, holding her friends hand, Amelia had explained everything and all she wanted was to hold her friend tight and never let go

"I know... I just... I can't stand to think she's going to die soon..." Amelia whispers in sorrow, "I.. I can't lose her Mils.." Amelia says, choking back a sob

"How about this babes..." Millie starts off softly, wanting to help her friend get her mind off it for at least a moment

"I'll call your mom and tell her that you're gonna stay at mine tonight and I'll invite over the Queens, who I'm sure will have no issue coming over to help you out and we all have a girls night huh?" Millie suggests softly, Amelia smiles at Millie weakly before pulling her into a tight hug

"Thank you." She mumbles into Millies shoulder, said girl smiles slightly before placing a kiss to her friends head "It's not an issue." Millie tells Amelia

The brunette pulls away from the hug "Do you want the alts to come as well?" She questions softly, Amelia shakes her head "Grace, Vicki & Courtney are having their own sleepover tonight, I can't bother them." She mumbles

Amelia loves her fellow alts but, right now? she didn't want them to fuss over her, they invited her to stay over as well but she cancelled, she couldn't do that to them

NATALIE WAS THE first to arrive, then came Lexi, then Maiya and then Aimie, unfortunately JayJ couldn't make it, much to Mia's disappointment

None of the Queens were too happy to be woken up at 2am by a phone call, but as soon as they heard the issue, the slight annoyance they felt immediately vanished

"Hey babes" Maiya says with a soft smile as she pulls Amelia into a hug, which the girl immediately returns "Group hug!" Millie suddenly yells and the girl felt several different sets of arms wrap around her

"I love you guys, but I also love to breathe." Amelia says with a smile after a short moment, the girls laugh and pull away from the hug

"So, I may or may not have brought wine" Natalie says sheepishly, Amelia raises a brow "Dare I say Natalie May Paris is corrupting me?" She says in shock, though she was anything but innocent

"Babes, didn't you ask us to go to the pub earlier?" Lexi questions with a raised brow, Amelia shrugs "That was Cathy Parr." She says with a teasing grin

"So.. is that a no to the wine?" Millie asks eyeing the bottle, Amelia gasps in offense "Hell no, pour some out!" She says with a smile

She felt better surrounded by her fellow Queens, especially given the fact that she was purposely trying to stop herself from thinking of her mom

"Okay okay." Natalie laughs, going to Millies kitchen to grab some glasses

"How you feeling?" Aimie asks the girl who shrugs lightly "As well as I can be." She says softly, looking down at the floor

"Well babes, get your phone out cause you're gonna wanna film this" Lexi says teasingly as Natalie walks in with the wine and glasses

"and most importantly, get read to drink." Natalie says with a smile as she hands Amelia a glass

"You stole my line." Maiya says in faux offence "actually, it's my line." Amelia says with a grin as she takes a sip of her wine

"now who wants to around in a circle and say how much we love Mia?"
