Chapter 6 || Pie!

__Toriel's POV__

"Allie, Fifth, I called you about your jobs here in the castle. I know you're the new one here Fifth, but from here on out, you will be the twins' servant, and Allie will be Frisk's servant." I explain to the young workers. They obey and were about to leave until I stop them.

"Ah yes, and can you get some ingredients for butterscotch cinnamon pie, please? " I ask them both. they turn to me and bow down.

"Yes queen Toriel," they reply as they leave.

Such polite children.

I smile and finish a bit of paperwork. Few minutes later I walk to each room-including Chara's-and told them to meet me in the kitchen in ten minutes. They all accepted and I walked to the kitchen. The ingredients were on the counter already and so were the bowls, pie tray, and measuring cups.

The children eventually arrived, but Chara was shocked to see that I vinted the others as well, her face turns red once she sees the boy, which I don't blame, my daughter just doesn't want to be embarrassed form the boy again.

"You called us?" Mabel asks.

"Yes, I did! I figured that today we will bake one of my special treats-Dipper, Mabel you haven't tasted it yet-, Butterscotch Cinnamon Pie!" I exclaim with joy, spreading my arms. The others shout joyfully, except for Chara, she was in her usual annoying demeanor.

Why do you act like this my child? Do you not like the twins? But you haven't interacted with them. Are you doubting their trust?

I shake my head away from those thoughts. Not today. There's pie that should be baked! I haven't done it in a while, before the twins arrived.

"We cannot make the filling while others make the crust because the filling will set quickly and we don't want that," I explain.

(I used Rosanna Pansino's recipe, she is so sweet and makes cute recipes! Plus she is a sister figure to Matpat, according to him)

" So here's the ingredients:

2 ½ cups all-purpose flour

2 tablespoons sugar

½ vanilla bean

1 teaspoon salt

½ cup salted butter, ice-cold

½ cup butter flavor shortening, cubed & ice cold

6 tablespoons buttermilk, chilled

Egg wash

6 tablespoons cornstarch

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 teaspoon salt

4 egg yolks

¼ cup salted butter

½ cup dark brown sugar

1 cup heavy cream

2 ½ cups whole milk

½ cup butterscotch chips.

I will split you into groups:

Mabel and Frisk will take care of the crust, and Dipper and Chara will make the filing."

There, like that Chara will socialize more.
