__3rd person POV__

As she said to herself before, Chara did wind up sneaking in the kitchen when everyone went to sleep. But sadly, things are about to go haywire soon.

It was dark in the kitchen. The only light was Chara's crimson red eyes, shining. She was near the fridge, holding a chocolate-caramel bar, and a piece of dark chocolate in her mouth.

(like Yuri)

She felt peaceful once she put the sweet in her mouth, the tension broke. But then, it came back together again when she heard the door open and someone enter the room.

Startled, Chara turns, scared, but sighed in relief when it wasn't any of her parents, but was still angered when she realized it was Dipper.

"What are you doing." He says sternly.

This time Chara didn't want to fight, she was tired.

"Leave me alone." She weakly replies.

Dipper looks at her angrily, but didn't say anything.

"What are you doing here?" Chara mumbles.

"Thirsty." Was all the male said.

Chara wasn't guilty. she could take him on if she wanted to. But not now. She's relaxed, she's too tired.

There was a tense silence between them.

"If you want to argue then do it tomorrow." Chara sighs.

"And why not now?" Dipper asks. Chara turns to him as he said so.

"Curious how you're still here just to get a cup of water. I'm too tired to face you. But fighting you seems interesting. Tomorrow. Let's fight on the training grounds."

"I will," Dipper says bravely.

"Brave of you. You don't even know what I can do."

"And you don't know what I have done last summer."

"Doesn't seem interesting." Chara finishes the conversation.

The two glared at each other, at this point Dipper saw her no longer as a loner, but a bully.

But then, the door opened once more, revealing none other but Flowey. His face was distorted, he was angered and disgusted. He thought they were about to kiss, but that wasn't the case. Confused, the two separated.

"....Chara...WHY ARE YOU WITH HIM?!" he then attacks the poor boy, smashing his vines on the walls, they weren't loud, but they were, in fact, his silent attacks. Therefore nobody who was sleeping heard this. Dipper desperately tried to dodge the attacks. But unfortunately, Flowey grabbed him by the ankle, his thorns scratched his led, shredding his pajamas. Chara could do nothing but watch in horror as Flowey was willing to fight soemone. It reminded her of someone. It reminded her of herself.

This entire time, her personality was forged from Flowey. Spending time with him made her mean, cold, unloving. Just like him. She knew she had to stay away from him to become the person she once was.

That's when she decided to do something and attacked her brother. She sent knives to slice off the vines holding Dipper. He fell to the floor and she pulled him to a corner. Then, she walked to Flowey, ready to face and stop him from doing something she wouldn't do.

"STOP! DON'T HURT HIM!"

Flowey's distorted face turned back to normal, confused.

"Chara? Why are you defending him? WHY ARE YOU DEFENDING HIM?" His face turned back into before and shouted.

"BECAUSE YOU'RE THE JERK HERE! HE DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WRONG! YOU NEVER SEE THAT CAUSE YOU ARE SO STUBBORN!" Chara snaps back at him.

"HE WAS GOING TO KISS YOU AND TAKE YOU AWAY FROM ME AND NOTHING CAN CHANGE MY MIND!"

Chara's frustrated he wouldn't listen, and from her anger, her hair started to turn red.

(It was an idea I had when the souls would show their true power, kinda like the avatar state from ATLA, I forgot to add those in GravityTale, but that concept was invented when I finished it)

Her eyes turned black, seeing her anger made Flowey shiver, he never saw her hair turn red but on the contrary, he saw her black eyes often. But not this.

"Let me ask you a question, dear brother.

WHICH ONE OF US IS THE ONE IN CONTROL?"

After asking that question, Chara was threatening enough to make Flowey stop attacking, he raised his head down and replied: "You." He mumbles.

"LEAVE." She finally tells him. The flower leaves the kitchen immediately.

Chara's eyes turned back to normal and so was her hair.

Once that was over, she ran to Dipper, who was sitting on the floor, still in the corner.

"Are you okay?" She asks, panicked. The tone in her voice changed. She was panicked and worried, something her old self would do if something like this happened.

Dipper saw this change immediately and put up a smile on his face. "I'm fine, just a few scratches."

Chara sighed of relief and pulled him up from the floor

"Look, I'm sorry about everything, I was such a jerk because Flowey rubbed onto me. Please, forgive me." She put her hands on his shoulders.

After a moment of hesitation, Dipper put his hands on her wrists and nodded, still smiling.

"I forgive you."The two smiled and hugged it out.

"Truce?" Chara asks.

"Yeah."
