Get it? Because they're gardening golden flowers then get some tea later on? I'm sorry, I'm not a joke person.

__Dipper's POV__

After the events from yesterday and last night, I decided to have a relaxing day by going to the garden.

Mabel decided to have another spa session and Frisk was as busy as usual so I was alone. That is until I saw a familiar face not far.

It was Chara. She was wearing a different outfit and sported a hat. She seemed to be gardening. I walked towards her and she surprisingly was aware of my presence.

"And to think we were going to fight here. Thank god that didn't happen." Chara laughs as she turns to me. Her face was full of happiness and peace.

"What are you doing?"I ask.

"I'm gardening, silly." Chara hits my elbow playfully. "Well, the buttercups, specifically. The other plants here are gardened by the servants, I just take care of the buttercups because dad said I have better skills and that these golden flowers deserve more caution. It's the national flower of the Undertale City."

"Isn't it what Flowey is?" I question.

"Yep."

Her personality was more cheerful after what happened last night. It made me happy that she was a better person now.

"Do you need any help?"

Chara pauses. She was the expert after all, and might not need help, but what better way to bond a bit?

"I guess so, why not?"

I smiled and we both kneeled to watch the cute little flowers.

"They're much nicer than your brother."I laugh.

"Yeah, but he wasn't like that. Not always at least." Chara says. "He was a sweet innocent goat boy, he was very kind. But was weary and scared sometimes." She finishes.

"So what am I gonna do?"

"You will put some water on them after I put the fertilizer," Chara explains. I obeyed and waited until she put fertilizer on a flower, then poured the water. We continued like this fro a line, then patches. Eventually, the task was done, and Chara wiped off the dirt on her apron and pulled her gloves off.

"Good work! What do you want to do now?" She asks me.

"Let's go grab a snack, I'm hungry." I point to the door to the palace. Chara nodded and we walked back inside. This was the first time I saw her wearing shorts. Maybe because if she wore any dress, it could get dirty, or that it might bother her when gardening.

Chara led me to the kitchen and started to prepare some tea.

"Choose any snack you want." She tells me. I nod behind her and open the fridge. I saw a cinnamon bun and took it to the toaster to heat it.

"Which tea are you partial to?" Chara asks me.

"Uh...I dunno. Not that kind of person who is a tea expert."

Chara looks at me oddly with a questioning look, I think she still wanted a choice.

"I mean, what tea do you have?"

"Black tea

Green tea

Oolong tea

Pu-erh tea

White tea." Chara lists me a few.

"Iced-tea?" I ask.

Chara looks at me in pure and utter disappointment. "And I thought you were smart."

"So...no?" I ask with a sheepish smile plastered on my face.

"What do you think?" She replies, rolling her eyes.

I knew the direct answer already and decided to be serious and choose a tea.

"Well then, why not I try some white tea?" I finally choose a type.

Chara sighs of relief from this idiotic conversation and take a teabag. "Finally." The water boils, and as it does so, Chara turns towards me.

"Dipper."

"What?"

"Your cinnamon roll." She tells me, pointing to the toaster. I started to blush. And that was just because I heard You're a cinnamon roll.

I turn to the toaster and take the roll and place it on a plate.

Chara grabs a chocolatine and puts it on a plate as well. The water stops to boil, and she grabs it and pour the water into the cups, then adds the teabags.

"Hand me that tray please." She tells me, indicating a tray not far. I hand it to her and she puts the two cups, the two plates, and walked out of the kitchen with me right behind.

We walked to the garden, a bit farther to the end of the castle ground, where a bunch of white hairs and tables were. Wow, this entire time, I did not realize it was there. It could be the shadow of the wall looming over the seats.

We both sat down and started our little snack.

"We put the seats here because we knew there would be a shadow there to cool us a bit from the hot sun," Chara explains as she sips her teacup. I nod as I mix my tea with a spoon in circles, Chara looks at me and stops me from continuing, putting her hand on mine.

"You're doing it wrong. You mix it forward and backward, if you mix it in circles the sugar won't fully dissolve and stay in the sides." She tells me, motioning with her finger to go forward and backward.

(Learned that in English class last year when we were having a tea party.

TWICE)

After being a bit frozen from this, I shook back into reality and started to mix my tea just like she said.

When I drank it up she corrected me once more.

"You sit up and bring the cup to your lips." She tells me again.

"Man Chara, you have proper tea etiquette." I tease her. She laughs in return and sips her tea correctly. I imitate her. I stopped drinking and saved the tea for later, and started to eat my cinnamon roll.

We ate peacefully under the cooling shadow. No one came to the garden surprisingly. No one bothered us. Even Toby didn't come. It worried me a bit.

I looked at the huge door worriedly, Chara read my thoughts and assured me everything was fine. That Frisk and Asgore were simply studying, Toriel was handling the royal duties, and Mabel might be having a massage and fell asleep in the spa.

I grinned back at her after she said so.

We calmly continued our little snack time.
