Rain pelted the windows of the car. If it was any other time it might've been soothing, but when you're as wound up as this group of survivors were, it only gave off a feeling of irritation. Sure, it helped to mask them from the zombies and kept them relatively safe, but it also meant they weren't able to stop: they had to keep going, even if all they wanted to do was find somewhere to rest.

It was now weeks after the incident at the abandoned warehouse where they had lost their most treasured friend, and they had been on the move constantly. Several times they had had to stop to fight zombies or fight against other groups in order to keep their supplies safe, and their bodies had become more and more worn down. Stopping for too long wasn't an option, and once they were no longer in danger, they could only get back in the car and keep on searching for somewhere they could call home.

One good thing that happened, however, was them meeting up with Jaebum's group again. The group had left the warehouse early on, as they had wanted to find a safe place for all of them to stay. Their return meant that they had found somewhere, and they had set out to meet the other group, and take them to it. Luckily, they didn't have to go far before they met up with them.

Jaebum and the rest stepped out of the car, and the guys on Amara's team did the same. They moved off to the side so they could discuss some things. As for Amara... she was told to stay in the car so she could rest some more. Although it had been a few months since that incident, her facial injury hadn't fully healed yet and it was still painful for her to talk. So, she leaned her head against the window and shut her eyes.

These days not much had happened - sure, they had met a lone zombie here or there, but things had been relatively peaceful other than that - and the group had become more carefree. Muscles were unwound, tensions had all but disappeared, and they had never felt more relaxed. It was the end of the world, there was no doubt about that, but with how things were now looking up for all of them, they could now see their future. And with that future, they knew that no matter what life threw at them they could deal with it.

They had fought and fought for the right to be alive, and they knew that come what may they would...
