After a while of enjoying conversation and laughs, King ordered some more food for when we get back home. After he paid for our lunch, we all made our way to our cars. King and I walked hand in hand a few feet away from Dinah and Jason, the two of them laughing as they locked arms. I smiled at the sight before feeling King pull me close to his body. His arm went around my neck as mine wrapped around his abdomen.

"So remember when I told you I had a surprise for you?" he said as his lips met my cheek.

"Mhmmm..." I replied as I melted against him.

"Well, I sort of lied. I don't have a surprise for you..."

Before I could ask him what he was talking about, I felt a familiar presence ahead of me. I stopped in my tracks and stared ahead as the warm feeling in my body grew. Seeing two familiar sets of brown eyes, an overwhelming feeling of joy came over me.

"...I have two..." he finished

I smiled wide as Chloe and Halle ran to me, engulfing them in my arms as they giggled their hearts out.

"What in the world are you two doing here?" I exclaimed as I held them. "You don't live anywhere around here!"

"We wanted to spend the rest of this weekend with all of you," Chloe smiled.

"All of us?" I said. "What do you-"

"Don't I get some love, too?" King smiled, the girls hugging him tight as he kissed the top of their heads.

"We missed you and Dinah," Halle said as Dinah came to hug them.

"We missed you, too," she replied.

I looked at them all in confusion. King looked to me with a smirk.

"What?" he asked. "Oh! You didn't think we were going to have family day without our whole family did you?"

My lips opened slightly as my eyes started to water. The twins looked at me with loving smiles as they drew me closer.

"You have no idea how much we've wanted to tell you," Halle said as she clung to me.

"But daddy hadn't found you yet," Chloe said, "so we had to keep it a secret."

I let out an emotional laugh as I kissed them both on their heads. King came up behind me as his hands touched mine.

"...surprise..."

"Now our family is complete," Dinah smiled. "I'm gonna go say bye to Jason and then we can all go."

"Okay sweetie," King said.

As I continued to hold the twins close to me, I looked to King, silently asking him to explain everything. He chuckled as he held my gaze.

"I'll tell you everything tonight," he said. "We all will. But I think we both know that you always had a feeling in the back of your mind that the three of you had a deep connection. In your case, a maternal connection..."

"All this time...I uttered, "...I didn't think I could even have children. And it turns out I have three."

"The more you get to know and understand who we truly are," Chloe said, "the more everything will make sense."

"Including certain situations we'll find ourselves in," Halle continued. "I'm just so glad we can call you 'mom' now."

I smiled wide just as Dinah approached us.

"So what's the plan for today?" she asked. "It's only a little after two."

"Well," King started, "I feel like it would be a crime to not show you the real beauty of this state. You ladies have only seen the cities, excluding our home. But how would you feel about visiting the capital?"
