Untold // Calum

chapter two

Lila and Calum sat on the sidewalk together until the time school was finished. Calum sat up and picked up Lila and carried her back to his house.

-Lila's POV-
I love Calum so, very much. I really think he liked me back. I let him carry without saying anything because I didn't want to do go home to my dad. when we got to Calum's house, we went up to his room and laid on the bed together.
"Calum I think since you let me know your big secret, it's time you know mine." I said looking down anxiously.
"alright go, I'm all ears." he said.
"okay. so you know the bruises? yeah.. they come from my dad." I quietly said.
"no. no they do not. Lila please tell me this isn't real." he said almost crying.
"It is, he hit me and mum after work all the time. he's never loved me and never will. I can't take it anymore and I don't want my mom to get hurt." I said wiping tears from my face.
"You know what, stay here and talk to my mom. I will be right back." he said getting up. I didn't want to argue, I didn't have the strength.

-Calum's POV-
I'm going to kill him. IM GOING TO KILL HIM. my mind was screaming at me. I walked from my house to Lila's. it wasn't very far. I don't see her dads car, but I need to move quick. I ran i aside and grabbed her mum. I took her hand and shut the door behind us.
"You need to come over right now. Lila told me everything and she doesn't want you to get hurt. I have a plan and we can discuss it with my mum when we get back." I said walking as fast as I could with her. she didn't argue. she was also very frightened when I grabbed her. I got back to the house and Lila and my mum were on the couch.
"Lisa! your here! what's going on Calum?" she said looking at me.
"Mum sit down. we need to talk." I said sternly. I've never been assertive with my mum. I stayed standing and I grabbed Lila and hugged her while I talked.
"mum, Lisa.. Lila told me something that out me over the edge. Lisa, your husband and Lila's father abuses them mum. I don't want them to get hurt so can we have them stay here?" I said looking at my mum anxiously.
"Lisa is this true?!" she said standing now. Lila's mum started crying, really hard. she nodded and look down at her hands.
"We need to call someone, I know a line that helps with abuse." my mum said taking out her phone.

-Lila's POV-
my mum was crying and Calum was angered I could tell. I went and comforted my mum and Calum set up a bed for my mum and I to sleep on. he locked all the doors and windows in the process to make sure my dad doesn't come looking for us. after he was done I got up and hugged him.
"I'm so grateful for you Calum. I really like you too." I said in a low whisper.
I really was going at this point that he liked me back. He didn't say anything but look up and kiss me. That right, he kissed me! on the lips!
I was so taken back and we both were blushing. Calum's mum came back in and said that the hotline she called recommended that we called the police in this situation.
"I called them and they are awaiting in private by your house. I'm really sorry. I don't want to see my best friend and my sons best friend suffer." she said walking over and hugging my mum. My mum was still crying pretty hard. I knew that he was going to get arrested and I honestly didn't care. Calum's mum gave my mum a pair of pajamas and Calum gave me a sweatshirt to put on. He was so much bigger than I was.
My mum went to sleep really quick, she must have been tired from crying. I walked up to Calum's room and thanked him for the sweatshirt and I went over and kissed his forehead.
"Lila, do you want to go out with me? I've been waiting to ask that question for so long and i just didn't know how to-" I cut him off and kissed him on the lips. "Yes. I love you Calum. what you did for me and mum tonight was amazing. thank you so much by the way." I said hugging him. he was smiling really wide so I took that as he was happy. he picked me up and we laid on his bed. it was an amazing night. I finally got away from my hell of a dad. and Calum and I were dating. it was pretty great. Calum and I cuddled for a long time. we ended up falling asleep in each other warmth.
