Untold // Calum

chapter four

it was now Sunday. Calum slept in and Lila got up to shower and make breakfast.

-Lila's POV-
I got out of the shower and went into Calum's room and get my clothes that I had. I didn't have a ton. I couldn't go back to my house to get them. I was walking and I guess Calum heard me and woke up. I was putting on my new band shirt.
"Oh my gosh I'm so sorry I woke you. sorry if you had to see me fat stomach for a second there.." I said grabbing the fat on me that I hated.
"No, you are not fat!" he yelled walking over to me. he placed his hands on my stomach.
"you shouldn't hurt the place this will hold our future children." he said very seriously. he wanted kids? really? that made me tear up.
"really? you want kids?" I said with a smile trying not to cry. I hugged him really tight. he smelled good. like he was wearing cologne. I walked with him downstairs and to the kitchen.
"what would you like to eat today Mr. Hood?" I asked with a smirk.
"could I have some toast and Vegemite? it's in the fridge. thank you!" he said sitting. I grabbed the stuff and put it in the toaster. I waited there and I soon felt Calum's hands on my waist. he kissed my cheek.
"thank you. for everything." he said blushing. I was blushing too.
"no problem." I said with a smile.

-Calum's POV-
I was going to make sure I did everything possible to keep her mind off her dad and everything that happened. I really loved her too..
"your food is served babe." she said brining the plate over.
"thank you again!" I said.
I was going to ask our mum's later if it was okay to go over and get anything they needed. but I just ate and talked with Lila. it was 6:45. we were so used to getting up for school I guess. After we ate, we snuggled on the bench outside. it was pretty cold so we brought a whole bunch of blankets. I nuzzled my head closer to her so she would keep warm. we watched all the car pass by, but I keep noticing she didn't take her eyes off her house down the street.
"Lila, is everything okay? you keep looking down there." I asked pointing.
"what happened to my dad Calum? I'm afraid he's going to find me and beat me again." she said starting to softly cry. she put her hand over her face and I wrapped my arms around her tighter.
"don't worry. I'm here to keep you safe okay? okay." I said back. ( see what I did there.(; ) she stopped crying and started to smile. I loved seeing her smile. it made me want to smile.

-Lila's POV-
I couldn't stop thinking about my dad, and what Calum said this morning in the bedroom. I really did have faith that he would keep me safe, but I always felt like my dad was watching me and my mum. I was going to stick to Calum as much as I can.
we went back inside around 7:00 and saw our mums talking together.
"hello. good morning." I said to both with Calum still holding me.
"good morning angel!" my mum said.
"hey mum, can we take them down to their house to gather up their things? Lila borrow my sweatshirt last night so I don't want them to go without anything." Calum spoke.
"uh, sure. I will call the investigator to see if it's clear to go." Calum's mum said. Calum was just like his mum. very sweet and kind. caring too. I walked upstairs and put on my shoes and Calum stayed downstairs to wait. I came back down and he pulled me junto another hug. his mum came back with a happy expression across her face.
"they have him in custody and questioning, everything should be okay. well go right now." his mum spoke. Calum kissed my forehead and headed for the door. we took the lead and our mums were talking behind us. I slowly opened the door like I was walking into a horror house. I ran upstairs to my room without looking at anything. I took 5 boxes and shoved all my stuff in them. my room was empty and dark. I ran into Calum's arms in the doorway and felt safe again. he helped me pick up my boxes and carry them out. my mum had packed all her things and just about everything else we would need. we left the normal house stuff since my dad would live here when he was out of jail, if he ever got out. I never wanted to see him again. I was walking on the tiles that he beat me on, threw bottles at, and yelled at. I started to cry and that thought causing Calum to run over and check on me.
"are you okay? you sure?" he kept asking.
"I'm fine babe I promise." I always replied. Calum's mum brought over her car even though it was 5 houses away. we actually had a load of stuff to carry.
Calum and I loaded up her car and walked hand in hand on the way back. my mum rode in their car.

-Calum's POV-
I can tell she wasn't okay. she cried when we left. she probably was thinking about her dad. we got home and I brought all her stuff to my room. we cleared out Mali-Koa's room and gave that to her mum since she moved out a while ago.. I miss her dearly. I put all of Lila's things away in the empty side of my closet. I let her put away her other things in the empty parts of my drawer. she kept a lot of her stuff in the boxes though. she must have had old memories that she wanted to keep. I laid on the bed and pulled her close to me. she rolled on top of me and leaned down and kissed me.
"thank you so much Calum. you saved me." she said kissing me again.

-Lila's POV-
he really did save me. my dad could have beaten me to death and I wouldn't be here right now. neither would my mom. I kissed him in between conversations. he was laying down and I was sitting in his hips. I ran my fingers through his dark hair and I kissed him causing him to make a faint groan. I loved when he did that, it was so adorable.. I got pulled my legs back and on top of him so I was laying flat on top of him. I lined up my feet with his and I seemed so short against his huge body. my head was at his chest and I could hear his heart beating. he had his hands in my back and started to run them back and forth. my mum came in and saw us. without saying a word she just walked away. Calum and I laughed at that. we always laughed at the stupidest things. we laid like this for a long time. he occasionally kissed the top of my head until we both fell asleep.
