Helena contemplates vomiting in a plant as she walks down the hallway in Luke's apartment building because the sinking feeling in her stomach will not go away. She's partially confused as to where the hell Luke fits into Ashton's whole dilemma, and partially terrified of it.

Helena's literally come up with around seven-hundred thirty-two potential situations Luke could tell her about. She has way too much time on her hands to think every worst case-scenario in every situation she's ever been in.

Helena sighs as she raises her arm to knock on the door, stopping herself before she does. She honestly doesn't want to know; she really wants to just go back home and move on, but she also knows it would bug her until she figured it out. She quickly knocks her fist against the door, swallowing the lump in her throat as Luke opens the door.

"Oh, hey." Luke smiles as he steps aside and Helena shuffles in the door. "I didn't know you were coming over."

"I wasn't." Helena lets out a breath as she picks at her nail polish (something that always has and always will annoy Luke to no end). "I need to uh- we need to talk, and- and I honestly don't even know what about? ashton told me to ask you-"

Luke's stomach immediately drops. She knows? He told her? What did he tell her? How much does she know? Is she mad? She doesn't look mad, and she has a shit poker face. Maybe she's sad? This means Ashton told her I'm bi oh my god-

"-I'm trying not to panic here but I'm starting to because I have no idea what all this is about and I really don't want to know because thinking about it scares me and it's really ominous and-" Helena rambles on, completely unaware that Luke is zoning out and not even listening to her anymore.

"Bel, I-" Luke clears his throat. "I really don't wanna do this." He's not ready, he's avoided it for five years, and he plans on continuing to avoid it.

Helena sighs. "Ashton's upset, and I don't know why. He told me to ask you, and-" She stops as Luke just stares down at his feet. "Please listen to me."

"I don't-" Luke snaps, looking up to see confusion wash over helena's face. "I can't." He says, softer this time. "I'm sorry."

"God damnit." Helena scoffs. "My brother's heartbroken for no fucking reason and I don't know how to help him because I don't know what the fuck is going on and-"

"We were together." Luke blurts out. "I was sleeping with him, alright? And I loved him, then you moved to New York and we were done. Also, I'm bi. Any questions?" He tilts his head as he looks over at Helena. "There's a reason we didn't tell anyone, and another reason why we never talked about it after it ended."

Out of her seven-hundred thirty-two scenarios, Luke sleeping with Helena's brother was not something she had ever considered, and she's officially at a loss for words. She can't form a coherent thought for a solid minute. "You slept with my brother?"

Luke nods slowly. "Yep." He wants to hide under the blankets like an embarrassed sim right now. He'd completely ignored his sexuality for many years. Being in New York and only knowing one person from home there for a year helped him be open about who he was, but he kind of just shut it down once Helena got there. This isn't to say that Helena causes him to repress his sexuality or anything, he just had Helena and was content with it and he never even thought about it.

"Right up until I got there?" Helena furrows her brows. "Oh god." She runs a hand through her hair as she sighs. "Seriously?" She comprehends this even less than she comprehended chemistry her freshman year of college.
