Colt's POV -

I knitted my brows at her. "Come again?"

"I know this may sound a bit silly to you, but it's about my granny's wish list." Evie repeated widening her grey-blue eyes.

Did I mention how beautiful they are?

In fact, everything about her is beautiful. Seeing her in Chicago was a huge shocker as I only knew her by watching her band's performance. Pretty much the same scenario was with her. Out of all the people in the world, she bumped into me; and I won't lie about how much I wanted to meet her someday.

Evie and her band had always impressed me, the reason why I would leave a comment and like on their videos. They were all genuine and came straight from the heart. I too received a few comments and likes from them. Although, I hadn't got a reply on the last comment I gave on their performance, which I found really badass and cool. It was true, by the way. I do wish to collaborate with their band.

"Not everything is silly unless intended to be. You can freely tell me anything and I promise to do whatever I can." I assured her with a smile.

However, Evie seemed to be into deep thinking, as if debating within herself. Maybe she was having a hard time talking to me about personal matters, and I totally understand that. We have just met and know each other only by watching our videos. That isn't enough to know how a person is in actuality.

"Hey, it's alright. You don't have to stress over it. If you don't feel comfortable in sharing it with me, then that's completely fine."

"No! I mean, yes. No, no, no. That no, was for not feeling comfortable, and yes for sharing it with you." She rolled her eyes and covered her face with her hands. "Jesus, what am I saying?"

I wanted to laugh at her cuteness that she wasn't aware of, but I decided to smile it off instead.

"Relax, I get it. There are situations in life that make you happy, worried, or angry. Besides, you're only human and it's totally alright to feel anxious sometimes. But yeah, unless you're an extraterrestrial being, then —"

"Which you are a part of? No, thank you. I'm happy being a human."

Alright. This time she beat me to it and I couldn't help but laugh at that.

"Good, you're already getting the hang of it. See the impact of a good company?"

Evie rolled her eyes without letting go of the smirk on her face. I hope all my joking was not boring her. But this is the real me. This is the way I am.

"Anyway, are you alright? In general, I mean, as you look quite tensed up for your granny." I asked out of concern.

"I am good, but yes. I am worried a little about something." She said while looking ahead in the park. "Hey. If I tell you that something, will you, perhaps...be able to help me out?"
