Just when I was about to delve deep into my sad-heartbreak mode, my phone rang. It was a call from Lenna.
I picked it up indolently but got greeted by Lenna's urgent and concerned voice.
"Evie, come here. Quickly!"
I furrowed, "where?"
"In front of your granny's store."
I looked to the side at Colt, who was giving me a curious glance himself.
"Alright. But what happened?", I asked calmly to her.
"It's Dakota and her stupid cousin, Francois," she spoke with annoyance, "he's unnecessarily making an issue out of nothing."
I stoop up quickly and motioned Colt to stand along as well and follow me outside.
"Don't worry, Len. We're on the way," I assured her and quickly hung up the phone.
"What's wrong?", Colt asked as we practically jogged our way across the broad road.
"It's Dakota and Francois."
"Understood," he breathed out, sensing the trouble instantly at their mention.
We walked on the pathway and soon spotted Francois arguing with our friends. Dakota was standing beside him as the evil cousins' backs facing us. We both stopped a few steps away from them as our friends acknowledged our presence.
"Stop the unnecessary drama, Francois. This is not a theatre," Colt said gruffly, gaining both of their attention.
"You have no right to talk to our friends like that for no reason," I added, glaring at him sharply.
I seriously didn't even need to know what happened anymore. It was quite obvious that these two were deliberately creating a heated-up argument just to prove themselves right.
"No reason? Your little friends were making fun of my designs!", Francois shouted too loud that it almost felt like blasting of the eardrums.
I looked to the side through the glass where the mannequins were displayed wearing his designed clothing. I haven't really been to this side, or to look up the store. Now that I look at it, I can well imagine why the store is not too crowded with customers. I doubt if anybody even visits here.
And he claims himself to be a fashion designer.
"I don't see anything wrong with that," Darcy raged out, however, in a low tone this time.
"For one, we were talking to ourselves," Derick added coming behind her, "and for two, it was nothing but the truth."
Francois's eyes widened in fury and he suddenly tried to lash out at Derick, "how dare you, you little –"
"Hey!", Lenna immediately stopped him, "you can't curse anybody! Specifically, when we didn't."
"I know what you all are planning at! Don't fool me."
